    Flavor Carrier

I am inclined to go along with Baditude in that PG is the preferred steeping agent of producers, hence the flavor carrier concept. However, when there's a dripper in my future, I'll have to do some taste tests. Thanks.

how often do you clean / wash your RTA / RDA / RTDA or sub-ohms?

But of course I always wash my 32 karat emerald ring in an ultrasonic.

how often do you clean / wash your RTA / RDA / RTDA or sub-ohms?

At present, I am a frequent rewicker (2-3 days). Mostly rinse off every rewick but, once a week or so, agitate in soap and water. Looks quite clean to me.

    Flavor Carrier

Well, as this topic does not show up in a title search, I decided to create one. The question is, is PG really the "Flavor Carrier". How did this concept come about. And if you agree, what PG/VG ratio do you find best for flavor? Reference to studies if they exist please.

Going Back to the Shoulder Method

In reply, squeakiness is a poor way to judge wicking. Far to great of range of tightness to be effective. And yes, I use water. I find water to be an issue when the coil is first wicked but, goes away. Presently, my wick is running nicely (non shoulder) but, of course, I haven't got a clue why.

Going Back to the Shoulder Method

I wick with rayon. I liberally thin the tails so as to not choke the ports. I generally get good flow but, I do get a fair amount of pops. I did try the shoulder method (cutting half the wick off close to the top of the coil). Didn't see any improvement but, I'm having second thoughts. I'm...

Best ceramic coil tanks at 40 watts?

Hello CL I started vaping 3-4 months ago with a Vaporesso Baby Cascade tank, cCell2 ceramic coil. The coil has nice flavor at first. However, I vape NET juice, aprox 85% VG and gunk them up in four days. The problem with ceramic is it heats slow so, you're inclined to use more power than you...

Advice needed to help someone else to quit smoking

My two cents: A good portion of this thread is focused on e-liquids. I would agree that matching your nicotine levels at first is important. However let's face the facts, we're trying to break one habit with another. So, the second habit better be enjoyable. And, trying to turn vaping into...

    Why'd My Resistance Change

Tried to rewick my Dead Rabbit RTA today using same coils (28 ga SS316). Burned them off and was surprised to see an increase in resistance (.51 to .79). Can't remember if this is the first or second rewicking. So the question is, can wire go bad this quick or did I miss a contact issue?

Can anyone lean me in the right direction..

Hello Tara So why the insistence on 60-100 watts? I would think the issue is appropriate power for the coils you use. As to flavor, I run in TC mode. If I increase the temp by ten degrees, I taste more flavor. Except its the taste of caramelized sugar and not the juice.

    Hellvape RTA Spitback/popping

Hello Eddy My two cents as I'm running the Dead Rabbit. First, are you looking at the "Steam Engine" website to see what numbers your coils are putting out? And as to the above quoted article, it doesn't mention wire gauge. Thinner wire, less heat capacity, more tolerant of wicking issues...

How Long Does Your Rayon Wick Last?

Well, I'm rewicking tighter and my wicks are lasting longer. However, it appears they can be too tight. Yesterday I rewicked four times. Dropped down to 2.5mm id and struck out bad. Quite feeble vape. Went back to 3mm id but, was getting major explosions. Finally settled on splitting my...

    Boiling Point Calculator?

Safety is one thing, flavor is another. And as you know form my "Distillation Problem" post, I'm concerned about vaping my components evenly. I believe that requires that you set your temp to BP in TC mode. Anything more is overkill and less leads to uneven vaporization.

    The Distillation Problem

I can assure you I have a good grip on reality. And, I learned a new word as I searched the web for the answer: azeotrope, a mixture of two liquids which has a constant boiling point and composition throughout distillation. Don't have the website to quote but, a PG, VG water mix are not an...
