Thanks for the links. it looks like there is a solid partition between the tank compartment and the battery/chipboard compartment but there is still a possibility of water getting in if it's not sealed at the top and at the gap in the bottom where the wires go through.
As far as putting water...
Has anybody taken apart an eGrip to see if the gap between the internal tank and the body is sealed? If water/juice gets in here, will it lead to the internals?
It's not part of the air inlet because that is higher up in the tank.
Thanks!
No offense. The purpose of the dielectric grease would be to keep water off the electronic circuits in case of accidental submersion (less few seconds, not swimming with mod ;) ) From what I've read from the RC community, coating IC boards in dielectric grease is common practice for keeping...
I picked one up this past weekend and love it's durability but wish it was more water resistant. I've been looking to improve the water resistance and add some venting capabilities (which I don't think it currently has).
To improve water resistance, I've been thinking of opening up the case...
Steeping gives the flavors in the juice time to mix. Warming it up speeds up the process by making the juice less viscous.
Personally, i just throw it in my pocket and let my body heat warm it up and the natural motion of moving around mix it up.
I just picked one up this past weekend. I like the idea because I drip a lot.
The only problem is that juice may leak from the button at the bottom. I had to take it apart and put some teflon tape around one of the threads of the inner rings and that seemed to correct the issue.
Empire Mods has a new mod called the Triangle RBA (Triangle Stainless Steel Rebuildable Atomizer). Just placed an order for one and was wondering if anybody has tried it yet or if it is known under a different name. It's SS and has a center spike attachment so that it can be used with 510-T...

The 5 clicks is to turn in on and off. Once it's on, just press it once to fire the atty.
Moisture in the drip tip is normal since it's water vapor that you're inhaling.
In regards to battery life, you'll be able to tell that the battery is getting low when it doesn't vape as hard as it used...
Noalox by itself didn't fix the issue of loose threads for me. Ended up putting teflon tape on the bottom half of the threads and lots of Noalox and now no shifting.
Welcome SteveD! I've been on the forum for a couple of years now and I don't think I've posted an introductory post so here goes:
I'm also from Dallas and have been vaping for a couple of years now. I'd found what worked for me (dripping with an eGo w/ LR atty) and did that for a while until...
Check the Rebuildable Atomizer Systems subforum for reviews and tips.
The ones listed also go by the following names:
- Birkshire = AGA Hydra (not to be confused with the AGA-T Tiamat)
- Monster Mesh - DUD
- Farenheit - A3, Wyvern
- Eternity - Vision Eternity
I have the Monster Mesh/DUD which...
You can go to the hardware store and pick up a slightly larger o-ring. You could also use plumber's teflon tape but be careful on how you apply it because inhaling teflon is bad.
There are a couple of videos on youtube about hybrid cotton/SS wicks. One involves using the thread from cheesecloth, putting it through the center of the SS wick and wrapping it around the SS so it is in between the SS and coils (SS Mesh/Cotton hybrid wick - YouTube). There is another one...
it's in the name - 18xxx - indicates that it is 18mm in diameter. The last 3 numbers are the length - e.g. 650 mm and 350 mm. a 14500 battery therefore would be 14 mm in diameter and 500 mm in length.
