What kind of battery? Li-Ions (mod batteries) don't have a 'memory' like NIMH (think rechargable AAs), so you can charge those whenever. But, keep in mind that batteries do have a life and X amount of charges, so the more you charge them the less longevity you will get from them.

^^ I have a lot of center post problems with contact. It's handy to have a thick paperclip to pull the pins down on attys/cartos. You can also gently lift the contact post on your SB with a eyeglass screwdriver (or small computer screwdriver).
They are the same part/unit. If you pop the whistle tip off, you can put that white piece on them - they are one in the same.
So, aside from some trial and error, unscrew the chocolate carto, and compare it to the other cartomizers you have. I really don't know why it isn't working without...

If it is a manual, there is a button on it. With the cartomizer screwed in, hit the button while holding...
So, this thread is essentially just a thank you to Rob. My order only totaled about 15 bucks with shipping. Had an adapter that didn't work - the atty 'rod' wouldn't unscrew and come up to meet the atty/carto.
So, what does Rob do? He sends me two to replace the one! And threw in a few...
