Has anyone replaced their own original 510 with the upgraded 510? I see that Rob sells them on the web site and figure I'm mechanically inclined enough to try it. Any advice?

Hello fellow Reonauts! Has anyone tried to replace an original 510 with the new adjustable 510? I see on the web site that Rob sells the new 510 and center pin. Just wondering if its too much of a pia to fool with on my own.
Sorry - should have put this in the tech thread....
For a MTL vaper, I would strongly recommend the RM3 dual coil. Drill the holes to 1/16 and set it up with 8 wraps of 28gK around a 1/16 bit or mandrel and you are golden. Been with mine now for almost 3 years and it still provides the best flavor of any other atty I've tried.
Hey there Russ - I've been away a while and hope all is well on your end. Just curious what your take is on Rayon. Seems I recall you were using it a while back. I know the Sloth is a big fan - much respect there as well. Still using KGD here but the Sloth has me thinking about snagging some...
Rob,
You, my friend have saved lives! Without the craftsmanship of the REO and it's unfailing performance, myself and many others may not have successfully quit smoking. I still use my original REO purchased in 2012 and to this day brag to others that while their fancy tanks/mods may be great...
Excellent write-up. My take is from the perspective of risk reduction and vaping as an effective tool to stop smoking. With that, I would encourage all juice vendors to fully disclose any ingredients containing these chemicals for informed decisions by consumers so that they are aware and can...
Dual coil RM3 remains my favorite. I'm not a cloud chaser or big lung hitter, but this little beast produces really well and provides max flavor. Dual 28g 8-wrap around 1/16 bit.
Rock on Sloth! Great vid and yes, twisted - in a cosmic sense. Gonna try it on my Derringer. To reach Slothdom however, a trip to the hat store is in order! :-D
You're going to enjoy the RM3 if flavor is your priority. It is for me too and mine has been my primary atty now for several months. Here's how I set mine up. I drilled out the air holes to 1/16 right off the bat as the stock holes were too tight a draw for me. I use dual 28g 8 wraps around a...
Ok so I successfully modified my Derringer clone (SS center post) to bottom feed. I used the EddieAdams method and did not remove the center post. Got me a 1/16 Dewalt cobalt split point bit at Lowes (<$3) and had no problem drilling out the center post from the top down with the atty mounted on...
Eddie & RGLP - thanks for the excellent info my friends. Much appreciated! If I ever get the damn clone from FT, I'll let you know how it went. Again, really appreciate your time to share some knowledge.
