I just built dual nichrome 90 25 gauge coils. 16 wraps on a 3mm jig. ohmed out at .46ohms. WOW, thanks for the tip. big clouds and not too hot. Good flavor too. Now to start building on other RDA's with thinner wire. I guess I might not sub ohm build for a while. I have done about a dozen builds...
Oh, interesting. When I use 316 ss it's usually 22 gauge. The only other 316 ss gauge I have is 24. I have never used the 24 gauge. What ohm do you recommend for 24 gauge? How many wraps around a 4mm jig? I have been building coils for many years and only use mechs with RDA's but if you can...
What gauge wire and what kind. Just for the hell of it a while back I built dual 20 gauge nichrome 80 coils, 15 wraps around a 3.5mm jig. ohmed out at .25. Needless to say I took them out after a few puffs. Surprisingly not hot at all, just huge clouds. I just wanted to see what it was like...
I agree. I was just curious how low I could hypothetically build on a 35amp dual series mod. Of course I won't actually build that low, that would be dangerous and foolish to do. At the moment I have a .35ohm build in it. That build is perfectly safe to me.
I always vaped at .30ohms - .35ohms on a dual 30amp battery series mod. I thought I could go at or below .28ohms with a dual 35amp battery series mod. I've considered .28ohms with the extra power of 35amp 30t batteries. As of right now I have a .35ohm build with the 35amp battery setup. Jeff
I guess I probably sound like more of a newb than I really am. I've been building rdas on mech mods for the last 7 years. I just always built series mods with either 18650 or 26650 batteries. no batteries above 30 amps. 35 amp battery series mods are still relatively new to me. I hope this info...
2naphish, I agree with you. The key word is theoretically because I would never build that low. Ever. However, you obviously understand that. Thanks for the specific information I was looking for, Jeff
O.K. Can anyone inform me about a minimum ohm build for a dual series 35 amp mod? I won't build the lowest ohm possible with that mod, I just want to know how low I can theoretically go. Thanks again, Jeff
I have a new purge 21700 dual series side piece mech mod that I purchased online after almost a week of searching for one. I use 2 Samsung 30t 35 amp batteries and a brass Kennedy 28mm rda with a .35ohm build. An educated friend of mine told me with a dual 21700 35 amp batteries that setup I can...
I just thought I would give an update to my build using thinner wire. This time I dug around in my supply of vape materials and decided to go with 23 gauge kanthal. I wrapped it around a 3mm bit 4 times and it came out to .17 ohms. This build produces massive clouds that pour from my RDA instantly.
