I know Rob always advised using button tops, but I've used 18500 flat tops in my 2.1s and they work well. @SteamStack - what would we do without you? And how did your daughter's homecoming thing go? Scare off any young men?

Additional on the efests: I just looked at the ones I have. They are marked V1 and V2; flat top and button top respectively. The ones listed at battery junction are flat top, but not labeled with V1. Everything else looks the same - my 14500s are pretty old too. I'm afraid I've just brought more...

I also have to ask, are protected batteries acceptable in a reo? Distant memory, but I seem to remember something about that being a no? Anyone?

I have used some of the efest 700 mah imrs shown and they have worked pretty well for me. Is battery junction a good company? Isn't it mooch that does all the testing and has a list of reliable vendors? I need to check it - I have need for some 14500s too!

I am not knowledgeable about builds really. I do know that I am usually happy at anywhere between .8 to 1ohm. The coils that came with it read at .9 - that's what I threw in mine, and I'm getting some darn good flavor.

Hope you don't mind me jumping in here. I think where I have the Boomstick airflow set in the photos I posted earlier today might be what you would call kind of an airy mtl? Does that help?

18mm instead of 16mm on the Origen - I don't think you'll regret the purchase. Element Vape seems to be the only supplier? I almost want to add one to my present two.
