Older Folks and Vaping Front Porch - Part Three

I have to think battery technology has moved forward. I alternate two eGrips, said to be 1500 mah, and they last me all day. With 18350 IMR mods, I was changing batteries at least 3 times during a day.

Please tell me more about the "Hangout". Do we see each other?? My laptop has a built in camera and I've seen myself but not so sure I'm ready to "go public".

There are pre-built coils/wicks for the eGrip RBA. I'm at 6 weeks with one coil. I change wicks (Japanese cotton) every 4-5 days. There is also an adapter available that is only about $5. It holds the RB A and has a 510 nipple. You can hook it up to another PV and dry burn or check coil...

Older Folks and Vaping Front Porch - Part Three

I was good for about 6 months...happy with PV/clearo/juice. Somehow I happened to find out about all the new megawatt-miniohm stuff and that triggered the Pavlovian response. I am not a sub-ohmer by any stretch, but I am very happy I found the eGrip. I learned a little bit about rebuilding and...

Older Folks and Vaping Front Porch - Part Three

The best explanation that I've seen for the flurry of regulation/taxes on ecigs involves money paid to the states by big tobacco. Many states sold bonds which are backed by payments from BT. If cigarette use falls off enough, BT will pay less and the states risk defaulting on the bonds. If I...

Older Folks and Vaping Front Porch - Part Three

I bought one thinking it would be a reasonably priced mod with which to play with sub ohming. I don't think I'm a cloud chaser but the mod is outstanding IMO. I ordered a second. It's shorter and lighter than an aluminum Vamo in 18350 mode and that makes it real pocket friendly.

Lithium batteries do not lose service life to frequent charging. Running them down too far is worse.

looking for a small sturdy mod

The changes I've seen in just over 3 yrs. of vaping are incredible. The best overall vape I've found is the eGrip with the RBA base. I'm a heavy vaper and it lasts nearly all day and two fillings of the tank. The RBA base has an increased air flow which I like a lot because I usually do lung...

Now I get it. Big tobacco doesn't even need to actively lobby against vaping. The threat of less money does it for them. Hi Mike...good to see you.

I have ordered a Kanger SubTank Plus and I'm really looking foward to it. I found this (less than 2 hr). video on rebuilding OCC coils and I think I can handle it. Kanger Subtank OCC Build – RiPTrippers

Little itty bitty mods under $100.

Re: the Welly (love the nick). I have one and I, too, love it. Yes, the screws are a royal pain but I am a tool junkie as well as a PV addict. A 1.5mm allen head bit on a screwdriver and I was good to go after I found one of the screws in the carpet. I installed a 35 amp LG battery and will...

Older Folks and Vaping Front Porch - Part Three

Good Sunday Morning to all. I was going to check in and review https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10012717/2204701-authentic-smowell-dpv-50-variable-wattage-vw-apv so this is good timing. I don't know if sub ohm vaping is for me but I wanted something to help me fiddle with the concept. I...

batteries for kraken and smowell dpv-50

I just rec'd a Smowell DPV-50 from Fastech. Took about two weeks. I love the size and fit and finish are excellent. I have not done any sub ohm vaping (yet) but using a Vision Victory clearo with a Kanger Protank 2.5 ohm coil, I'm getting plenty of vapor and flavor at 9 watts. Regarding...

Are VAMO V6's(Or newer/older ver.) Reliable?

I've had two pair of aluminum Vamo's from Fastech. First pair is V2 and I used them daily for 7-8 months. They still work. I decided to get backups and found the V5 in aluminum so got a pair of those. I use Vision Victory clearos and had to use an adapter with the V2. With the V5, the clearo...
