I found that if I cut a thin washer from a plastic baggie and placed it on the pin it fixed the problem, except the tank is now a bit wobbly. Wondering if the pin or rubber grommet got compressed over time? Maybe they need to put spring loaded pins in the tanks, too.
Tried that. I even took some emery cloth to the bottom of the pin. I'm rechecking my coils. Did I make 10 bad ones? The screws on the deck don't hold the wire very well, but I've known this for a year.
So I just put on a new coil. It asks me if a new coil. I reply yes. It shows 4.33 ohms, but then quickly to read 0.00 ohms. If I press the fire button quickly, before it changes to 0.00 ohms, it fires, but then goes back to asking me if it's a new coil.
Hmm, I don't generally crank them down too hard and mine sits flush. If anything the toptank mini post would be too short. Just now I went to vape from it and it asked if was a new coil? So it's losing connection somehow. I've been using the same as I have for a year and no problems up until...
I've had the tank for about a year and purchased several rebuildable coils. Things had been fine and then my istick Pico started showing the ohms fluctuating when I put on a new coil. Tried it on an older istick Pico and still had problems getting it work. I kept getting no coil or some other...
I have similar question. Been using Vamo's with an X10 (protank clone type) tanks. I rebuild my own coils. I'm looking for a new mod and like the box style. Can anyone tell me if the istick Pico will work with my tanks. I usually vape at 3.4 volts with a 2.4 ohm coil. Any RBA's/RDA's...
I have an ego that I used and vaped around the same volts as my Vamo. I have no idea what watts the Vamo V5 or ego have. I'm so confused. Wicking could be the issue and I'll build some more coils tonight, but leaking is touchy in the heads. So frustrating to work so hard to get things just...
That's what I thought at first. But if I build a .5 ohm coil, I am able to lower the volts because I stay above 7 watts. The higher ohm I build the coil the mod keeps upping the volts to meet the 7 watt minimum.
I still don't understand how this all translates into "burning my juice". I...
From what I understand, I need to make lower ohm (resistance) coils for this mod. If I increase the ohms, the mod automatically increases the volts because it can't put out less than 7 watts. If I decrease the ohms (using fewer wraps or thicker - lower gauge wire) the the Kamry lowers the...
I have a Vamo left but it's on it's last leg - been using them for a few years. Needed a new one and after hours of researching because of the change to watts and shopping locally (and posting on ecf) I ordered the Kamry V2. Apparently vaping on low ohm coils is the thing now. I'm trying to...
Yeah, I think I'm screwed. I built a twisted coil with 32 g kanthal and it's a little better. If I go up in ohms the minimum Volts I can set change also even when in VV mode.
Yikes, the Kanger subtank is pricey!
Yeah, I just spent hours looking into it. Thanks for the watts to volts calculation and that calculator. I was thinking of building lower ohm coils but I'm using a tank similar to protanks. I can try as kanthal is cheap. I have no intention of going much below 1 ohm and worrying about my...
I didn't quite understand your post ("step down") and had already placed my order, but you are right. You are the only one to mention that! My Kamry doesn't fire low enough. I need these to go down to 3 watts. The description said it went down to 1.4 volts, but it doesn't with my higher ohm...
I just bought one from Fasttech. I would love it except I vape around 3.4 volts on a 2.4 ohm coils. The Kamry V2 will not allow me to vape that low. I'm new to the wattage now being the standard and when I saw that it went down to 1.4 volts I thought it would work for me - it doesn't. It...
