Personal story: It took me about a year of messing around with an e-cig before it really stuck. I didn't realize you could replace the old A type atomizer with a clearomizer and I had no idea there were delicious e-liquids out there. With that old tobacco e-liquid I was using, it is really a wonder I became a vvaappeerr! I try and tell everyone with interest about vaping. Sometimes their eyes glaze over, and that's okay. Other times, I can really help someone understand and lean toward e-cigs.
