New poster here.

I got into ecigs because I've always wanted to smoke but never wanted anything to do with nicotine/tobacco. I would occasionally have a cigar or a cigarette with friends on a night out drinking (probably 4 times total a year), but it was never anything more than that because I didn't want to get caught up in something addictive/terrible for me.

When I learned about ecigs, I loved it and fell even more in love with flavor hunting. However, I've continuously run into people questioning why I would even consider something like this when there's no nicotine or tobacco involved... and all I could say was that smoking is relaxing to me and the thrill of finding the right flavor is exciting to me.

Are there a lot of other people out there that smoke 0 nic for fun? Or am I the odd man out?

I'm on a journey to get off nicotine and vape 0 nic for fun. I got into cigs because when I hit a really stressful time in my life I couldn't resist bumming some off my friends, most of whom smoke. I quit cold turkey after a few months but I found that I had developed a mild addiction to nicotine and an oral fixation to smoking. I just love blowing out thick voluminous clouds and I don't want to stop. I'm now down to 6mg nic juices and when I've vaped through all my stock my next step is 0.

Quite simply, I didn't get into vaping the way you did, but my end goal is pretty much the same I'd say!

i started vaping to get off the ciggs already in the few weeks ive been vaping i went from 18mg nicotine and now im on 0mg. i worked my way down from 18 to 6-8 then to 0..... sad thing is i still have a few bottles of the other juices with nicotine and ive noticed the flavor isnt as strong in those than it is in my virgin blends

You can enjoy smoking without nicotine

I smoked some herbal cigarrettes years ago--no nicotine in them. Smoked Carltons with 0.1 mg of nicotine without problems. Trouble was, I liked to smoke--nicotine was not a major issue. Switched to vaping 18mg, then to 12, 6 and no zero. On occasion I'll grab a tank of 6mg
every couple of days. The longest I went was a week with zero--a little different but I do notice I vape more fluid at zero nic!

The habit is my habit--the nicotine, not so much. When I smoked cigs for 30 years, I'd always get Ultra Light 100's since it was the oral fixation that was the main thing.

Relax and vape, zero nic is much cheaper to make without the nicotine! You can pick up the ingredients you need at a pharmacy that way.... To show the anti everything crowd, I just take some of my zero nicotine juice and use it as a hand cream--try that with nicotine in it! Nothing like the vapor goodness of food flavored hand cream!

Not sure if vaping skin so soft would be a good idea--just had to throw that one out there. Be a heck of a way to keep the mosquitos away in the summer! I might be on to something here...

Just out of curiosity, would a person even inhale zero-nic juice or just vape like it was a pipe/cigar? Coming from tobacco, I can't imagine doing this without nicotine myself.

I inhale - but it's nothing something that really matters to me. I could inhale or not inhale. More times than not, I don't.

I used to question why vape 0 nictotine if your going to inhale it.. I use 0 nicotine for my RDA it's personally just for flavoring and clouding my room. Doesn't matter why you vape, your vaping. Makes allot of sense for you to come off the cigars since you don't inhale, Mostly the process. Thats why it was hard for me to quit stinkies at first because of the lighting of the match/lighter then puffing the cig. Took a while for me to get over that process but now it's all G.

Ive only been vaping for a month, and I am not a smoker at all. So vaping 0nic is a no brainer for me.

The only time i vape with nicotine, is if the store is out of 0nic variants of the juice i like. Or if im trying a new juice.

I vape for the flavor and the cool menthol feel similar to those mentholated minty candies.

Will probably do diy liquids soon too. :)
