1 day 9+ hr's as a PVer

I've smoked 2.5 to 3 packs a day for 28 yrs. In the past I've tried to quit using chantex, gum, patches and varies other methods all with varying degrees of success. The last 2 yrs I've quit for Lent and it has been h*ll on my family for about 3 weeks each time. Last year I gained 46 lbs in those 46 or so days. The most success I’ve had was those Lenten days when I did it cold turkey. I promised my wife and kids that I’d stop smoking for Lent until I was able to kick the habit. Well Lent starts Feb. 22 and I’ve been searching for some help. The package store e-cigs got me researching e-cigarettes and I stumbled across this site (I’ve been lurking for almost a week). I gained so much information from this site that it was unbelievable. The newbee board thread about what I should buy said most votes go to eGo and,,, well,,, I got confused and bought a eGo-T.
I ran across the name of Vulcan Vape on this site and found out they are located near me. I made my order, contacted them and went by to pick up my start-up kit. I tossed my (up to this point, and what I hope to be last) analog on the sidewalk as I went to meet Jake. Jake was a god-send, he walked me through the eGo-t setup, used his batt. Started me vaping and took around 45 min walking me through a lot of what I’d read here (it’s a little different actually handling the equipment- a lot easier than what I may have thought). We played with liquids adding drops of this and that until I had something I liked. I walked out of Vulcan Vape as a PV’er and a non-smoker. “Thanks Jake”

I'm sure you'll soon pay it forward & help someone else learn about vaping (really, once we figure it out, we can't be stopped... it's just too good to keep it to ourselves).

Welcome! Really happy you found someone to help you get on the right track! I smoked for a little longer for you and had no more success quitting before PVs. I haven't smoked since June and can't imagine doing it now!

Welcome to the PV crowd. I have found no inclination to go back to analogs (two months for me sofar). The search for the perfect setup and liquid continues.
+1 VulcanVape 241 kits - I got the black and a stainless kits with LR tank atomizers (turns out I like the cooler standard attys). I was told the ego Tanks were better than the 510 tanks and they are. The customer service at VulcanVapes is outstanding. I am SO envious of you having the ability to get hands on assistance. That would have saved me a fortune in trying out new equip and combinations.
