So after over 20 years of smoking Camel lights, parliaments, and Marlboro mediums/lights (in that order), I think I've finally found my calling! In previous years when trying to quit, I had used the patch, Nicorette, and even prescription medications (Wellbutrin - twice!). The last time through the Wellbutrin I thought I had it all kicked, but after only a few months of staying clean, I broke down and have felt ....ty about it ever since. Do you know this behavior; sneaking cigs late at night after everyone has gone to bed? Spending gobs of cash on air freshener for the car? Constantly lying to your family because you're really embarrassed about your addiction? That's me!

I had tried the blu cigs after my wife was fed up with my sneaking and lying, and they worked for a few weeks...maybe a month at most. But, something was definitely missing. Maybe it was the cost and how they looked...I always HATED THE BLU LIGHT!! Plus, you have to buy them everywhere they sold analogs, so there was always that temptation.

Somehow I found out about vape dojo, a b&m (and online) store near my house. I made my first purchase there on 2/28: kanger evod starter kit, 15ml ea of banana nut bread, vanilla custard, and cinnamon toast chata. It was great having the ability to try out a few flavors, and while I felt a little in-over-my-head I also felt confident that the final 3 marlboros in my car would be my last that night. My only real regret in the last month was that I didn't just dump those down the toilet!

Needless to say, I was back to the dojo about 2 weeks later to pick out a few more juice flavors (choco cherry, and Apple pie) and 2 more tanks. While I've spent about $100 on my starter kit, tanks and juice, I'm about even in money saved. But, I'm happier and feel like I can breathe better. I may have found myself a new hobby and I'm excited to see where this goes!

So glad to have you here! I did the same thing (sneaking it and lying about it). I felt ashamed that I slipped back to smoking, and despite usually being able to communicate things with my wife, I felt like I would disappoint her. Unfortunately, lying to her was more disappointing.

But, live and learn. She's a great woman has supported me during my transition. It was a little rough for the first few months, but I didn't sweat it. If I really needed to smoke I would. But I tried not to, and eventually the craving for an analog was gone. I haven't smoked in about 3 years (kind of lost count now). I don't even want to go back.

Congrats on the 1 month! Just celebrated my 1 month as well :)

It's funny you mention the little blue light.... I had tried some of the disposables a couple of years ago just for fun and when I got my real starter kit last month I was missing the little blue light!!!

Definitely not missing it any more :)

Congrats man! I am 48 days without analogs right now. From what I hear the first month to two months are pretty rough to where you still get cravings but I just vape through the cravings. I took a drag from an analog the other night and it tasted just like a put some ash in my mouth. So just keep at it and fight the cravings the best you can!

Good luck buddy!

Congrats on the decision! Reading your story, is a very clear reminder of my own. Back yours up 15 months and it's the same as mine :D

Glad you found ECF as well. This place is an absolute treasure trove of knowledge for all things vape. Don't ever be afraid to ask questions. Most of the people here are top notch individuals that contribute here for the benefit of all of us.

Again, congrats on making the switch! You won't regret it!

Well congrats jamfreak! I am still trying to find the vanilla that matches the Blu Vivid Vanilla! I read that it is actually a vanilla custard. So I ordered some DIY vanilla custard flavoring, and will try it when I am done with the juice I am vaping now. I am CRAVING that stuff!

Congrats to you & welcome to the forum! I can relate to you on the sneaking around...especially when it came to me trying to sneak it past my family. Uggggh all of the money spent on car freshner & house air freshner...not to mention all of the perfume I tried to cover it up with:laugh: Good thing those days are all now behind us! Keep it up!

Well, you have two choices.. you can take the blue pill, go back to smoking like you've always have been, probably get lung cancer, smell bad, pay an exorbitant amount of tax and be herded like cattle like other smokers, or take the red pill and.....
