Nothing that I am aware of, I use a 50/50 base with 24mg nicotine, I've been vaping for a month now with other clearomizers and not had this problem with any of my others. I've used the same juice that I use in the others. I use a Ego-T 1100 mah most of the time and when I do use my spinner I have it on 3.3. I don't have a clue why these are burning up so quickly.

I guess I have to assume the coil itself is breaking? If that's the case, I have no clue except that maybe they're being over-driven by your batteries for their given ohm rating, or the wire is touching the side metal causing a direct short thereby popping the wire.

The best I can offer is that these heads are rebuildable if you can learn to manage that yourself. Read THIS thread on how to do it.

I went through the 2 coils that came with the tank over the weekend. I just recoiled one it was pretty easy but it was still disappointing to have them go so quickly I believe the ones I rap will last longer

Well, I just put in a new coil, these I ordered and they just came in today, maybe the ones that come with the tank aren't that great??? Maybe this one will last a bit longer, I can only hope lol.

I'm glad to know it's not just me, thank you kabonk!

Going through coils like they are burning out? I'm still on my first coil after 7 days and 30+ tanks of liquid. All I've done is rinse it under warm tap water...towel dry...blow through the stem...while plugging bottom with finger...to dry the wick a bit, refill and continue vaping. No degradation in taste or vapor production...if anything it's gotten better.

What device do you have it on?

Wow...they should work fine at 3.3 volts. I have them at 3.8 to 4.0 on my Vamo and up to 4.4 on my Provari. Had my first one for almost two weeks and the coils are just fine even with some of my darker juices.

How long of a drag are you pulling? It's possible the wicking just can't keep up. Phil Busardo recommended dismantling the head and removing the top wick (especially with high VG juices). It's pretty easy to do but you may want to check out his review if you're not sure how to go about it.

I checked on the provari and I'm running 4.4 right now as well...I started at about 4.1 last week if I recall. I could just be lucky and received a good coil. I'm hitting fairly long multiple inhale draws and on occasion I get a drop in flavor but not any burning taste. I will say that I tried removing a wick and it made my tank start to gurgle. I did read somewhere that someone thought that maybe shifting the wicks a bit helps with evening out the juice intake ymmv.

I have it on either my ego-T 1100 mah or my Vision Spinner 1300 mah.

The coils on my protank are lasting me around 8-9 days before they start loosing flavor, then after a soak and a wash, another 4-5 days. After that, I've been tossing them in the emergency backup bin. I have recoiled one, just to see how hard it was, and it was rather simple. Took maybe 10-15 minutes on my first attempt. (Have never recoiled anything before, but decided I wanted to learn how to recoil Protank heads and EVOD heads) The only liquid I have run in my protank is MBV's Extreme Ice (3 flav shots, 50/50, 18mg) I run mine on my eVic at 8 watts which puts it near the 4.5v mark with no issues. I did switch to the 1.8 ohm heads when I ordered a new 5 pack, and I am on my first from that pack now. It read 2.3 ohms the first day, nor reads 2.1-2.2 ohm 3 days into it. QC may not be the highest on the coils.

Whats happening with your coils? Are they loosing taste, or actually failing? What kind of liquid are you using? I imagine using something heavier than what I am using could make the heads go bad faster. When ever I get my next protank in (a few weeks away probably), I will be loading it up with different heavy flavors (Cinnamon Roll and Pineapple Upsidedown will be in the 2 protanks that I have coming from a co-op)
