Hello to all. I am about 2 months into vaping. I have been through a few methods (boge cartos/boge carto tank/vivi nova/ AGR carto tank/ and kanger protank.....
I like and dislike each thing i've tried so far,,,but for ease of filling/cleaning I like the protank,,,,,,except the airy draw. After looking for solutions,,,I came across the airflow control thingy http://www.madvapes.com/tank-airflow-controller.html and am curious.. As with many things related to internet consumer investigation,,,,reviews go both ways,,,,so i'll ask here. I've searched here and did not come across anyone saying,,,"yes,,used it,,,works good/great/bad/not at all on a protank"
so far I have restricted airflow using teflon tape on the 510 threads and a band-aid,,,,results were ok,,,but inconsistant.
I have also seen advice on using the evod bcc coil head on the protank for a tighter draw,,,,if anyone has done this,,,please comment on that result as well.

Best $5 (with shipping) I have spent, use it on my Kanger Protank and it definitely stiffens the draw. I initially bought it to save the threads on my Vamo (still waiting for it in the mail) and have been using it with the Protank since it came in. I will be buying another with my next Protank. Four thumbs up.

I went with a cheap (not that $5 is pricey) ego thread cover collar (not the tapered one, the T shaped one) which does largely the same thing, as far as protecting the center pin on the VAMO and restricting the air flow... I ordered one for each protank I had, only realizing after I got it that I only have one VAMO and only need one adapter ><

I have 2 protanks. I had some of that soft weather stripping clay rope stuff (gad, I'm eloquent, aren't I :) ) Anyway, I took a very, very tiny piece, and with a toothpick, filled one of the small air holes in the bottom...where the threads are. Tried it, still too airy, so I filled another one. Now it's perfect...for me. If you do this, only fill one at a time, then try it to see if it suits you. Easy fix, no $$ if you already have it on hand.

I bought one of these airflow controllers out of curiousity and not necessarily a need. I wanted to have one "just in case" I had a delivery device that warranted one.

I've used it on some cartotanks on my Provari's and it does as advertised. I just ordered my first Kanger ProTanks (colored glass) and it's good to read that the controller might have a permanent use.

Speaking of airflow on the Kanger ProTank, when you draw off of yours, does it whistle? The whistle is shrill on mine and it bothers me. If you guys are adding air control couplings and all that, does it mitigate the whistle? I'm interested to find out. Thanks!

I have 4 protanks, 1 whistles a bit, the other 3 don't. I've changed heads a few times and the same one always whistles

My Protank was very noisey and i use the teflon tape and its quite now. It got more quiet at forst and continued to get more quiet until its just plain ole quiet. Ive change the head and used the teflon tape right off the bat so i dont know about that part as far as supporting the other posters experience or backing it up. But the teflon tape worked for me. Im going to get the other thingy for $5 because i do like the protank and they are coming out with a mini next!

My poor cartomizers. They feel so unused and unwanted since the last couple weeks I've been vaping exclusively on the Kanger ProTank. I took the third wick out, per the suggestions of you fine folks and it works great. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1370387064.315707.jpg
