Lets see.......

Been smoking for 15 years or so. Steady pack a day smoker. If I'm out drinking with the guys, this can shoot up to 2-3 packs.

Tried gums, patches and even Chantix.

The best stretch of no-use was with the Chantix. Went 6 months without a cig. However, caved in one day and just had 2 puffs. That brought me back to smoking.

Last week I got my e-cig and so far it's been smooth sailing.

I really hate analogs and hope I can stick with e-cigs!!!

I had a similar experience, have been a little over 2 months and really don't miss the analogues at all. I have had a few moments where I thought it might be nice to have one, but those pass quickly, and when I walk past someone smoking the odor is actually offensive to me. If that is what I smelled like to all those people who used to give me dirty looks, I actually "get it" now......

Gratz, z! Awesome that you were able to make the switch! Sometimes it's not just the nicotine or whatever chemicals are in the stuff we smoke, it's the ritual. I know my trial by fire is/was hanging out with the guys for a couple of beers, but vaping really helps calm down the craving. Soon enough, the "cigarette" craving will be gone and you have the choice to vape or not!

Congratulations on your first week. I'm sure you'll have many more to come. I'm like you. I tried just about everything under the sun to quit with the exception of Chantix, but this is the only thing i have been able to stick with. Now i'm on my longest stretch without a cig since I started smoking 8 years ago. Its been two months analog free and I have no desire to go back. Vaping makes quitting analogs easy. At least for me. Good luck and Welcome to the forum.

Grats man for that an hope u will keep move up like that ., am also new for that and didnt smoke for 1 month , 2 days now ;) And am proud of that .

And welcome to ECF

Good Job man!!! Where I live (Saudi Arabia), a pack of cigs are 2 dollars, so it's incredibly easy to get addicted to analogs.

Honestly, for me vaping is going to be much more expensive, since I have to ship the juice to here, but at this stage I could care less. I feel great not smoking anymore!!
