Ok, Greenhouse One advertises a one year warranty on all products. I contacted them to ask if they warranty batteries and the reply was.” We are indeed providing a 1 year warranty on batteries as well. Joye offers a 6 month manufacturers warranty on all of their products. All batteries that we receive back that are malfuctioning are returned to them within this 6 month time frame. Batteries we get back after 6 months, we will absorb the cost and still send you a new batt.”
Now I made a purchase today but I have some questions and observations.

QUESTIONS:
1. If I charge a 650 mAh battery 2 times a day meeting the 300 charge limit on day 150, and the battery dies do I get a replacement battery?
2. The battery dies on day 364 or 365 on a leap year do I get a replacement battery.
3. Does a new warranty begin on the replacement battery?

I still find it quite unbelievable that they can warranty a battery beyond its capability. But, if yes to these questions, I say yes to Greenhouse One for life. Even though on a small order for me shipping is $15.00, I’m still in.

OBSERVATIONS:
1. The website does not describe their warranty in detail, you know like the ones with all that legal jargon.
2. What happens to the batteries returned to China?

I’m concerned about warranties that are not spelled out but I bit anyway. So that brings me to a curious notion. What happens to those batteries that are returned to China? Are they reconditioned and re-entered into the market? Or maybe, just re-enter into the market? See my post on the battery troubles I’ve had and LowThudd thread, ”My eGo batts…So what gives?”, in which I include a theory called, Stale Stock Conspiracy ”’

Finally, are there other vendors that offer better or as good warranties on batteries? I know Janty has a three month warranty on batteries except for their special sale offers. And others I have dealt with have only 14 day warranties. Why don’t all vendors have at least 6 month warranties on Joye batteries if the manufacture warranties them for that time?:glare:

"3. Does a new warranty begin on the replacement battery?"

If they did, it would be a first. Through the years I have dealt with a lot of warranty replacements on items I've brought (non-ecig). In all cases, the warranty on the replacement item is calculated from the date of the original item purchased.

"I still find it quite unbelievable that they can warranty a battery beyond its capability."

Considering their prices and the fact some people don't want to jump through the hoops for a replacement, I think they have the cost covered. ;)

"1. The website does not describe their warranty in detail, you know like the ones with all that legal jargon."

Keep in mind..... a warranty is only as good as the person who stands behind it. No matter what is written, e-cig vendors come and go.

Thanks for the heads up everyone. My questions were semi serious with a undertone flavoring of facetiousness. Majestic I get the cost covered thing or maybe even batteries used as the appetizer to the rest of their products. But I was stunned at this deal after dealing with a vendor who only provided a 14 day warranty. As I said I’m in. Still curious though. Were do all those bad batteries go to? Battery heaven?

My suppler offers a LIFETIME warranty on batteries, charges and atty's- yes all of it and they do honor it, it's fairly new, used to be 1 year, but now LIFETIME. they are not supporters here so, I won't plug them by name, but they are applying here so, I hope we see them in vendors soon.

I asked and the batterirs can be repaired, usually that means replacing the cells inside and, that's what they do, then the dead cells are recycled and the refitted battery sent out again since it is as good as new.

Warranties are indeed only as good as the 'paper they are written on'. If the vendor/business goes out of business 2 hours after you buy from them your warranty is worthless (lets face it, even if you COULD go through the small claims court to chase them you might still end up out of pocket, and very few if any, people are going to take something worth less than $1000 to court looking for a refund). I'm not bashing anyone's claims but 'lifetime warranty' means what exactly? Lifetime of the battery (which could be 2 weeks if the company choose to say it is)? MY lifetime? The lifetime of the business? The lifetime of the owner?
All I want from a business is good customer service, which includes replacing stuff that reached me in a bad state or doesn't function as described (which includes breaking after a couple of uses); I don't care for 'warranties' per se as they really mean nothing other than a willingness to help - thats all most of us want, not empty promises.

(Blue - because I posted after you in NOW WAY means I'm talking about your supplier, I'm just making a general point and agreeing with majestic:) )

Like all Chinese companies, the prices are cheap, but the shipping costs are steep. And like rebates, they might be counting on people not wanting to hassle with sending them in for replacements. On the other hand, they might have some good startup capital and are wanting to build a reputation.

They have a limited inventory consisting of only Joye eGo products, so they are selling what I consider to be the best. But in my experience, Joye product quality is a crapshoot.

That's why I prefer to stick with Janty, who I think lends respectability and who I think genuinely care about quality. But Janty don't always have what I want.

My 2 cents.

After reviewing the many welcomed replies here we have to admit we are in a way left hostage to the Chinese manufactures. And ultimately the luck, purchasing power and the relationship that the vendors have with these manufactures is the key to the best service given to us. Until the US regains its manufacturing abilities we are left with the foreign manufactures. And I am using all my strength to avoid a long political diatribe to how we came to this point. Another forum, another day, it is what it is.

I still suspect that manufactures and or vendors may incorporate unscrupulous practices. There has to be a reason why people get lemon batteries or vendors offer short warranties. An example for instance can be found in a thread I’ve been following on the development of the E2 cartomizers. Some members made purchases on a newer version of the cartomizers and were shipped a mix of old a new. So even though the company wants are business they still play games at times.

I will take the advise here and stay with the vendor who serves me well. If I get 6 months from a eGo battery then I’m a happy camper.

Now if I could only find some spinach e-juice, the spinach juice from the can always craps out my atties.

I read an entire 30-page thread on an ECF vendor's forum about the Hello 016 kit just before and during the time of its release. The first person to receive one wrote a raving review within an hour of having received it. The next few days, it failed. And on and on it went with several other people. The button would stick ON, and the charger would fail. And other things. All during this period of failure, people were posting anxiously about how they couldn't wait to get theirs. "I ordered one!" "It's coming!" It is not a Joye-manufactured product, but there was no information about just what company in China did manufacture it. Obviously, one without passable quality standards.

My point is, the reason manufactures sell lemon batteries and vendors offer short warranties is because they can. People will knowingly buy risky products (buttons stick on) to save a few bucks over an eGo, and because they want a product that holds some promise of being something they can vape throughout the day (me too).

I love Popeye. Canned spinach, not so much.

Exactly, if the company goes out of buisiness or e cigs are banned, then a waranty means nothing, more thatn anything, a good waranty menas the seller belives in and does stand behind what they sell and, have learned that thier product does not fail so often as to make the waranty chew into thier profits too much, so, odds are, you are getting a quality product if it has a good waranty.

Been running daily with my new 1000 mAh eGo batteries from Greenhouse One. No problems like my last four from Nicotine Nirvana. When my order arrived at the post office I got a personal e-mail from Tim at Greenhouse One to tell me that my order was ready for pick-up. Talk about a wake up call. The shipping is steep if making small orders, but if a couple of people make a purchase over $250, shipping is free. Will update on battery life monthly.
