I've been vaping now for over a year. I went through the normal pattern of POS mall e-cig to a 510, ego, mod, mod, and more mods. I started with tobacco flavors and now can't stand them for the most part, although I do enjoy a bit of Shade or Virginia from Vapor Bomb now and again.

Before I started vaping I was a 1/2 PAD smoker. When I got into e-cig's I vaped like a fiend to the point where my atty was sometimes too hot to touch. Then I leveled off but still vaped continuously through the day. I was averaging around 3ml of juice per day up until recently.

When I started vaping I was amazed that I would just forget to run outside for a smoke. It was an easy transition. But now I'm finding myself forgetting to vape. No, I'm not smoking again. I'm just forgetting to vape. I'm going hours without it. I'll stop and realize it's been 3 or 4 hours and I haven't taken a single hit. My juice consumption is probably down to around 1 or 1 1/2 ml/day.

So now I'm contemplating just tapering down to zero. If I can forget it for 4 hours and not even miss it, what's to say I can't just forget it completely? This is the first time since 1979 when I started smoking that I've felt I stood a decent chance of ridding myself of the nicotine habit.

I'm going to give it a few months and see what happens. Hopefully you'll see me posting all my stuff in the classifieds before the end of the year. And it'll be a lot since I'm stocked up for Armageddon.

That is great! I'm 5 months in and go hours without vaping. I just get busy and don't even miss it. I vape alot first thing in the morning and at night. As long as I am busy I can easily go without. I'm down to 8mg and 4mg; hopefully by the time I hit the 1 year mark I can quit all together. Congrats on your success at reaching the 1 year mark!

I'm a month in, and I hope that when my year anniversary rolls around I'm in the same boat as you. While I have no problem merely being addicted to nicotine instead of being hooked on cigarettes, I'm now far enough away from the transition that I can actually visualize not being addicted to anything at all. It's still a pretty foreign concept to me, but not as frightening as it was a month ago.

Many congrats. You're an inspiration to all us recent converts. Rock on.
