I was just curious what everyone fancies. I've categorized mine and gave brief little notes on each. You don't have to do that...unless you want to. Enjoy!

Black & White:
Sunset Boulevard – Gloria Swanson immortalizes the fading starlet in one of the greatest motion pictures of all time. A great flick to watch with the lights out puffing away with a glass of chardonnay.

Fabulous:
To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything! Julie Newmar - One of the few very successful gay themed movies. The big names including Patrick Swayze, Wesley Snipes and John Leguizamo helped, no doubt. I can watch this one anytime for a good laugh.

Foreign:
Amelie – Subtitles aside, this movie is a visually stunning and side-splitting journey. It delivers in all aspects. It tells a brilliant story with quick and witty humor, superb actors, and amazing cinematography.

Dark Comedy:
Freeway - Do not die without seeing this! This movie is crazy hilarious. I mean, crazazee! I’ve never been a big fan of Reese Witherspoon but after seeing her performance in this movie, she should have won an Oscar. The tale of Little Red Riding Hood, modernized, ghetto’d, white-trashed, and brutalized. Plus, Brooke Shields “plays” dead. I quote this movie constantly!!

Teen:
Heathers - Perhaps my most favourite of any and all teen angst movies. Winona Ryder at her best and Christian Slater at his creepiest. If you haven’t seen it already, you may have had a brain tumor for breakfast…

Religious:
Stigmata - I’ve never been into religion except for studying it. This movie makes me want stigmata. Levitating, speaking in tongues, mysterious wounds – FUN!!

Artful:
The Nightmare Before Christmas and Edward Scissorhands - I would have only picked Scissorhands but I know people would hound me for not picking Nightmare. Honestly, I think Scissorhands is hands-down the masterpiece that embodies everything Tim Burton. An absolutely stunning film filled with delicately placed humor and deep, meaningful emotion.

One you may not know:
Pyscho Beach Party – This one is hard to find but worth the search. Written, produced, directed by a tranny who also appears as a female police officer. The film follows taps into the Gidget era with twisted humor and murder. Lauren Ambrose gives an amazing performance as “Chicklet.”

Drama/Super Long Movie:
Doctor Zhivago – Long, long, long movie but a testament to film and it capabilities. Julie Christie never looked more beautiful and vulnerable. The best movie to come out of 1965, follows one mans struggles during the Bolshevik Revolution.

Movie Musical:
The Rocky Horror Picture Show - If you haven’t seen this, you should be shot. No, just kidding. My parents inflicted this on me when I was 12 and I was soooo confused but now I love it. Don’t dream it, be it.

Now lets hear yours.

Blimey!

Everyone should see "The Rise And Rise Of Michael Rimmer" at least one imho.

I'm sad to say I haven't seen this one :( but I'll certainly be looking into it. it sounds fantastic!

Speaking of film and black and white, has anyone seen Black and White ???

I saw it a few weeks ago and while drunk at a friends house..what a strange cast

Robert Downey Jr
Claudia Scheiffer
Mike Tyson (! )
Brooke Sheilds

I'm sure I have missed a few people off the list

black & white is a great film. it taps into so many aspect of a young persons life. one of the best "priviledged white kids meet violent hip hop" movies

What a great list! I can vouch for 8 of em' ;)

Here's one that will knock your socks off if you haven't seen it yet: Pan's Labyrinth. It is Spanish with subtitles.

If you have a queezy stomach... there will be some parts you will have to turn from... one of the better movies I have seen in this amazing couple decades of crap. :thumb:

Not a big movie watcher, but I caught this on one of the premium sat. channels - big surprise - great and surprising movie.

BTW - has anyone else noticed that the fox's ID backwards is boxofnails?

Maybe I'm just weird...
