100% VG 0mg Nic RY4?

So, I've already got rid of this stupid cough from cigarette withdrawal (thanks to the people here who helped me with ideas to get rid of it) while consuming the RY4 e-liquid I bought the other day.
It's a 40% PG 60% VG with 6mg Nic. I love the taste, it gives a lot of throat hit, only thing that's bothering me is it gives me an itchy feeling in my throat and cough a bit hard after my first 3 or 4 puffs then it goes away.
My question is, has anyone here tried a RY4 with 100% VG 0mg Nic?
I really don't have a clue why I cough like crazy after just a few puffs, while back when I was smoking I don't and I'm a heavy smoker back then.

coughing is a symptom of you improving health. your bronchial tubes and lungs are lined with scillia that are designed to move crap out of your lungs to keep them clear. Tar from cigarettes have weighted the scillia down and so they did not move to make you cough. now that you are not clogging them with junk the scillia are simply doing what they are intended to do - which is clear out all the junk you have flooded them with for years.

lowering your nic is not likely to help. but dont worry - the coughing will stop in time.

Would you suggest switching to a 0mg nic first till my lungs are completely healed?
I got a friend who's been vaping for months before she introduced it to me, she also coughs a bit hard after a few puffs of an e-liquid with a 6mg nic.

Try...a lot of vendors carry RY4 for DIY...and 0mg VG is practicly free....so...try

I've tried a new RY4 just now, it's the same blend of 40% PG and 60% VG with 0mg nic.
It's still packed with flavor which I really liked, only thing is it has less throat hit.
Would changing ratio on PG would give more throat hit?

Try 50/50 blend. I used to vape 70/30 and when I tried 50/50 it has become my staple.
