So i got some 100% vg juice and i love it when it actually wicks right. I am using a ce4 clearo.. I made a slight slit in the silicone top to make it wick better but now i obviously need to keep wiping the battery off cause now it obviously gonna leak. But it works amazing..... My question is one am i gonna kill my ego doing this and two what works good with 100%vg juice?

Nobody uses 100% VG juice, despite what the juice sellers say. 100% VG is undiluted Glycerin USP that is too viscous to vape in atomizers with a filler or wick. So the 100% VG is diluted with something else to thin it a little. I use 5% distilled water but alcohol or PG are commonly used.

Once thinned it's no longer 100% VG. Even if no flavor is added it's not 100% VG. Flavorings can be PG, VG, water or alcohol based and can account for up to 15% and more of the mixed juice. So if PG based flavorings are added to a VG juice then the percentage of VG will be significantly reduced. Some juice mixers use only VG based flavorings but the juice must still be thinned for proper functioning of wicks and fillers.

Im using an Itaste MVP with the stock "iclear" clearomizers...

Just ordered some 100%vg from Johnson Creek, it seems to wick fine with the Iclears, but when i use it in my tank system it doesnt seem to want to soak in and prime my cartomizer...

The 100% vg i got was alot thinner than i thought it was going to be, considering that ive used plain vg in cooking and its like molasses until warmed up.

It can be difficult to fill a cartomizer the first time with a high percentage VG juice. My juice will just bead up on top of the filler material in an unused carto and won't be absorbed.

There are some tricks to overcome this:

1. Shake down the first several drops. This is like shaking down a thermometer. It forces the thick juice into the filler. Works like a charm.
2. Fill with a syringe.
3. Warm the thick juice a little by placing the bottle into a warm water bath for ten minutes. This will thin the juice.

Once cartos have been fully saturated the first time they will easily absorb the thick juice on subsequent fillings.

Typically, the first number in those ratio's is the PG content... PG/VG... So an 80/20 blend is 80% PG and 20% VG. Perhaps they are simply stating that their VG is 100% VG, as opposed to 99.7% or 99.9%

I have some 99.9% VG I use for DIY and it is THICK... Like maple syrup from the fridge thick... Thicker than motor oil thick... No way you're getting that wicked into anything without cutting it with something...

Where do you obtain 99.9% VG? Glycerin USP is a minimal 99.0%. I buy Glycerin USP from CVS pharmacies which is labeled as 99.5% anhydrous.

Glycerin Monograph | U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention

I found it on Amazon... I couldn't tell ya the name of the vendor anymore... Oh you know what, it's my PG that is 99.9% USP, The VG 99.7% USP Food Grade Kosher Vegetable Glycerin. In a 1 liter white bottle.

Keep in mind that the biggest factor in handling Glycerin USP is the water content. Once the seal on the container is broken the purity is compromised by water from the atmosphere. If I buy a sealed bottle of Glycerine USP from a licensed pharmaceutical lab it may be good for four years. Open the seal on that bottle and it's no longer at the specified purity and should be used with 12-18 months.

Garage operations that purchase 55 gallon drums of Glycerine USP and simply pour it off into smaller containers for resale are not licensed pharmaceutical labs. The product that they sell may not meet Glycerin USP specs and should not be used later than 12 months after the seal on that 55 gallon drum was cracked.

USP does not control or monitor Kosher, Halal, or "natural" descriptions for USP grade. These descriptions are strictly based on religious or marketing parameters and not enforced by USP.

I got mine at amazon as well
the Vegetable Glycerin is advertised as Kosher USP, but the label just says it is USP food grade
Amazon.com: Vegetable Glycerine Kosher USP - 1 Quart (32 Oz.): Musical Instruments

The Propylene Glycol was just advertised and labeled as food grade USP
Amazon.com: Propylene Glycol - Food Grade USP - 1 Quart (32 Oz.): Musical Instruments

It is important to note that food grade glycerin can be either Vegetable or animal based. I prefer to vape vegetable.
from http://www.aciscience.org/docs/Glycerine_-_an_overview.pdf
Glycerine is found abundantly in nature in the form of
triglycerides, the chemical combinations of glycerine and fatty acids which are the
principal constituents of almost all vegetable and animal fats and oils.
