I bought the same battery. it fit my old charger but didn't charge. I bought a 420ma charger for 4 bucks-problem solved.
I ran into a problem with my Twist yesterday. I thought it just ran out of power sooooo naturally, put it on the charger - no blinking light on the Twist. DARN...time I thought for a decent burial, it had a good life. THEN....stroke of genius (momentary) checked the charger & saw that it was gooked up - cleaned the .... out with a toothpick & walaa - it charged the batt & all is good.:vapor:

At ~$30 the Twist is, to me, still expensive and not priced low enough to consider a throw-away. Assuming the electronics are fine has anyone looked at purchasing replacement batteries that can be soldered in? The cost of a AA Lithium Ion battery is ~$5. Does anyone know what batteries the Twist uses? LiPo or LiFe?

The Twists are available as a knockoff now. Joye is a reputable manufacturer. Make sure it's a Joye, and you should have little problem. Oftentimes there is user error involved with using vaping equipment. If the user were overtightening their cartos and pushing down on the post, can't blame Joye for that.

I think that if you were to shop around, you would find them for under $30. That's a great deal for a VV, it's not just a regular battery. When they came out, the competition was mostly the Provari, which costs $200+, so it was an awesome deal @$30. Now, it's up against cheaper VV/VW models, but it's still a compact, well made product.

Lots of people are ok with disposables, my Joyetechs are over a yr old, and I don't have chargers, multimeters, and carry open batts in my pocket.

I've had the same 2 JOYETECH eGo 1000mAh Twists for months. Used them mainly with 1.5 ohm EMDCCs, at the lower voltages of course given the low resistance, but have also used them above 4.5 volts for other burners. So far no problems. I would stick to the JOYETECH ones fer shure, at least for now. There are a couple identifiers on the genuine JOYETECHs, do yours have them? a little crossed out garbage can and a CE, etched on the cup at the atomizer end, above the threading.

After a week of my 1000mah Twist being on the fritz and blinking three times in succession for no apparent reason and sometimes firing and sometimes not it finally gave out and died.

At this point I decided to open it up and see what the problem was and as it turned out the two leads coming from the top of the battery to the bottom of the board were completely disconnected!

Now, I couldn't find a diagram of the inside of this product anywhere, but I went ahead and tried resoldering them back on and LO AND BEHOLD it worked again--and like new!

It seems these two soldering points may be a weakness in the design of the twist and may be shoddily made, but at the very least it wasn't too much of a hassle to get it working again. I am also uncertain of the maximum wattage these devices are capable of putting out, but I suspect that these spots may have heated up or just been jarred from being dropped or whatnot.

Not the ugly scratch marks on the side of the ego connection as I used a thick pair of pliers to help me prise off the tight fitting connection at the top. If I did it again I would use a fat rubber band or some tape in between the ego and the pliers to keep the metal from scarring.

Anyways, it now charges and performs as good as new! I hope this helps someone.

Instead of the cartos being the short,,,

it sounds like the battery is actually shorted.

There is a very good chance it may not be able to be fixed.
But take a look into the threads of the batt. If you dont see the white gasket all the way
around the center pin, it may be damaged causing a short.

    .

make sure your center post inside the 510 connection is not pushed down.take a very small pair of scissors only one blade and pry the center post up a little see if that helps

First time ive seen scissors mentioned.....paper clips, screwdrivers and knives, but not scissors.......and why not? Lets dig in and move that pin......its on youtube and one video even says it needs moved......up to a quarter inch
But, maybe if we would consider what we may be damageing and what might happen if we do damage it..... maybe are batteries will last longer. As has been said here and elsewhere, DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.

The light on my charger stays green. I'm not swimming in cash so it really ticks me off to shell out 28 bucks for a dud. I have the 1000mah in pink which lasted 2 weeks. It's genuine Joyetech with the symbol on the bottom. I contacted the vendor VaporAlley for a return. So far that company has sent me a bad kanger and now the twist is bad. I HATE sending crap back.
