Ha ha, hope you have a good laugh too. I spent all day doing this and getting a list of stuff to order to start making my own e juices for myself and my wallet. My head is spinning, math is not my forte. (Yours may spin also trying to read it.) Any suggestions on this process would be appreciated. I have near zero space in the freezer, so here's what I think might work. Yes it is a supply for like 6 years, even more if & when I start to lower the Nic levels. But I know my brother will be real interested in my new hobby when he comes for the holidays, share share share...

From 1000ml of 48mg NIC (label all bottles):
1.buy 8 120ml cobalt bottles, fill & freeze 7 (1 extra/empty bottle). (leftover= 160ml) 48mg NIC
2.buy 7 30ml bottles (3 extra/empty for later), fill & freeze 4 (leftovers= 40ml) 48mg NIC
- now you have 40ml at 48mg NIC
- CUT (2x) this 40ml = 80ml of 24mg NIC into 3 30ml bottles. Freeze 1 and play with 50-60ml
3.Buy ? 10ml and ? 5 ml and ? 3ml plastic bottles
[80ml using 10-20ml a week that’s 8-4 weeks of vaping (24mgNIC), but you won’t be vaping 24mgNIC so it will be more like 1 ½ times that: at 18mgNIC ~maybe 12-6 weeks] Guesstimation.

Restock (pulling from the freezer):
- Thawing 1 30ml 48mg NIC bottle - CUT to 2 30ml bottles to make 60ml of 24mg NIC (freeze 1?)
- Thawing 1 120ml 48mg NIC bottle – fill and freeze 3 30ml bottles, CUT the remaining 30ml to 2 30ml bottles to be 24mg NIC, Freeze 1 and play with the other.Need caps for 30ml bottles if they came with dropper (for freezing)

Buy:
1000ml of 48mg NIC solution, 100% VG (thinking I like the higher VG ratio juices, hmm)
Qt each of PG & VG
8 120ml cobalt bottles
7 30ml glass bottles (with caps)
3 droppers
? 10ml and ? 5 ml and ? 3ml LDPE plastic bottles
various flavors
Nic test kit (?)
2 each 12, 14, 16 g blunt needles
syringes, 2 each 1ml, 5ml, 10ml (have 35ml's)
500ml Polypropylene beaker& glass stir rod (playing chemist?)
Funnel 50mm Long Stem Polypropylene
Funnel 75mm Long Stem Polypropylene
My first 3 days of vaping and I'm stoked. I have an eGo T that came with a CE4 I think, and a VisionSpin with a Kanger Min pro II. It's a crying shame the eGo and Vision will be discarded once they no longer hold a charge. Reading lots on which set up to get next that I can swap out the batts, dreaming of a Provari when I get rich. 3 days without a cigarette is pretty cool!

Love the math you've done. I love DIY'ing and all that comes with it. I'm working my way up to a Provari in the near future because it has a warranty. I'm currently using an MVP 2 which I love and can afford. I have several eGo's of varying degree's, pass-throughs, spinners, etc....I love them all and they all serve a purpose. I use the CE's clearomizers as well and have recently gotten into some of the bottom coil clearomizers. I get some for a really good price at Discount Vapers for their own branded bottom coil clearomizer for 2.98. They are disposable. I like top coil clearo's for flavors that taste good warm and bottom coil clearo's for flavors that taste good cool. I can do this economically using the CE's and DV's bcc. Good Luck and Happy Diy'ing and Vaping!

I vape at 2-3mg,and I buy all my nic at either 60mg or 100mg. I keep the 60mg in 30ml bottles, and the 100mg in 15ml bottles in the freezer, takes up less space. Since I DIY for 2 people, I usually only have to pull out 1 60mg bottle a month.

I don't use funnels or needles. I have a 60ml syringe that I use, just measure everything in that. Keep my finger over the hole, then dispense directly into a 60ml bottle, easy peasy.

Personally, I would double the number oI 1 ml syringes. You'll be using those to measure tenths or hundredths of a ml in your test batches, it's ggood to avoid cross contamination of your flavors.
5 ml bottles - I bought 24liter gladss vials for my test batches , 2 dram or about 6 ml. Itso more than i need, but I would suggest 2 or 3 for every flavor combination you can think of making right away. I have a dozen test batches at different ratios going at the moment.

And I agree - a lter of nic will last you years, but if it's a great deal, its your money.

Good luck, and may the DIY gods bless

Somewhere out there
I've stockpiled 48nic and well cut it by 3 with VG giving me 16 nic, just where I want to be. So 120ml of 48nic mixed with 180ml VG gives me my desired 16 nic. Fool around with flavors and sweeteners = happy happy......

I believe you'd need 240ml VG to cut 120ml 48mg/ml nic to 360ml of 16 mg/ml.

Ok an update on the purchase and storage of 1000ml of 48mg Nic solution that is all VG.
How it actually went:
1.Buy 8 120ml cobalt bottles, fill & freeze 7 (1 extra/empty bottle). (leftover= ~110ml) 48mg NIC
2.Buy 7 30ml bottles (4 extra/empty for later), from leftover 110ml fill 3 & freeze 2 (leftover= ~20ml) 48mg NIC
- now you have ~50ml at 48mg NIC to play with
- Did not cut to 24mg for any storage/stock, until I figure out what PG/VG ratio I want, now I can mix flavors and ratios (mixing small amounts of 100% VG source stock is not easy, calculator makes negative numbers for VG)
- Perhaps make a 30ml bottle of a PG/VG base – but first try just VG base with distilled water…

Did not take up too much space in freezer, thankfully. I've already increased my vaping to about 2-3.5 ml a day. Having extra bottles around feels so much better than not having what I need to keep going right now. I have lots of little plastic drip bottles, 3ml, 5ml, 10ml, 15ml... more reading to do but it's bedtime all of a sudden.

@ least you figured on the bottles. I ended up buying 2700mls and change of nic which was waaay more than I had planned on, on black Friday. I was just trying to hit the free shipping amount. I only have glass containers for about 1/2 of that. Wonder how pickle or salsa jars work for storing nicotine in the freezer. LOL I could wrap it in paper bags to keep the light out when I open the freezer door. Aw well, my plans never quite go as intended.

Unless I missed it, where are the gloves and safety glasses? Apron, or long sleeved shirt to cover clothes and skin. Altho, 48mg isn't as strong as 100mg, you should still make safety your first thought.

This is where I get my bottles. special all this week through 12/8 using CYBER2013 for a 15% discount.
Scroll down the linked page. They offer kits with blunt needles and caps with luer locks. 1 ounce -30ml
1/2 ounce = 15ml. They ship ups as I think all of the bottle supplier's do.

The reason for neg vg is there is really no way to make a 100% vg liquid when you use flavoring(unless the vendor has specifically said they make their own flavors using all vg). This is because your flavors are all mixed with pg. so you have to acct for that pg in your total calculations.
ie. say you want 10% flavoring in a mix. Then that mix contains 10% pg. So maybe a 10/90 combo will be better? or an 20/80. Using that high of a mix with vg may need to be thinned a little using distilled water. you can plug that in where it says to add alcohol? Only use a small amt of DW say maybe .05-1%.

I'm new to DIY and thinking of buy some bulk nic juice soon. I'm concerned with freezer storage. So, storing the liquid in glass bottles and then freezing is the way to go? I'm worried about fluid expansion when it freezes and breaking the glass bottles. This is not a problem?

Nicotine doesn't freeze and expand. Actually, it remains in a liquid state in a home refridg/freezer or deep freezer..
Now if your using 100% VG based Nic, it will be slightly thicker than honey when you remove it from the freezer..
Take it out a couple days before you need it..
Glass (Amber or Cobalt Blue) is the preferred storage container. Heat, Light and Oxygen are the things that cause nicotine to to turn yellow and in enough time it begins to degrade. Polycone seals provide the best seal. Amber glass bottles with polycone seals can be purchased from wizard labs. 30 ML size are 89 cents each. -->
30ml Amber Glass Bottle w/ Polycone Cap

They can also be purchased from usplastic by the case of 24 bottles for $15.10 -->
Amber Boston Round Glass Bottles | U.S. Plastic Corp.
Makes them just under 63 cents each...

It won't really freeze because our home freezers can get to the cold it needs to freeze this stuff. It will become denser, thicker, so that is why you would allow for 'thaw' time. Only open and use once it is at room temp.

Thanks thatguy2 for info on storing nic bottles in the freezer. I also wrapped mine in bubble wrap in case of bumping. I made a label with a poison symbol and detailed contents. I got most of my supplies at Wizardlabs.us and also RTSvapes. Love the cobalt bottles!

Thanks for the reminder to be mentioned on all nic handling. Yes, I have gloves and apron when dealing with even the 48mg nic solution. I just don't want any problems, it does get a little messy no matter how meticulous I am -- there's always a sticky something! I'm so glad I didn't get the 100mg nic, even if the first thing was to cut it to 48-50mg, for me it's just not necessary to work with 100mg risks. The bottle also mentions a respirator, and you also need ventilation when working with nic concentrations, depending on the concentration of course.

Thanks also for the bottle source! can't have too many of those, especially the proper caps. Labeling is no joke when dealing with so many bottles and mixing. AthensGA posted about recycling kichen jars, but I'd be concerned with the caps/lids. I suggest you order bottles asap and just keep the nic solution in it's original/shipped bottle till then. The more you expose the nic to air by transferring it to other containers, the nic starts to degrade. I went with the polycone caps for storing nic. Wish I had seen the bootles with luer lock caps! But then I'm still unable to suck up high VG solutions into even 12 guage needles. I had to skip the needle and just suck the VG with the tip of the syringes. (messy)

To my start up list for ordering supplies I would add:
- gloves and apron (if you don't have one)
- graduated cylinder (50ml at least)
- bubble wrap
- labels (like for addresses)
- a few glass droppers
- a funnel! (didn't order one, boo)
- if you can't shake the bottle to mix solutions then you better figure how to stir it real well! and you can't shake it if there's no room in the bottle...

I'm having a question of whether to use low-density or high-density plastic bottles for the smaller volumes of e-juice. I went with Wizardlabs' LDPE (Low-density polyethylene), assumed they listed those as the ones needed. But I'm looking for the white or clear harder plastic bottles that the juice I buy comes in. Suggestions? corrections?
