Wear gloves, you will survive. Or if you want something safer start with a lower mg level.

If you do go down this road, and are heeding all warnings, just beware of your dog/cat treading on a drop - be absolutely sure there is no spills / drops.

The best advice I've seen (on top of all the usual precautions) is to lay down something that you can dispose of afterwards, better safe than sorry!

Is it dangerous? Yes. Search the internet and you can get all the info you need. Can it be used safely? Yes it can. Treat it with the respect it deserves and wear proper safety gear and you should not have any issues. If you are just starting out w/DIY you might want to try some lower level nic to get the hang of it. If you go with the 100mg/ml stuff get gloves and wear safety glasses. Do not mix in shorts and a t-shirt and if you do spill clean it up and flush w/water ASAP. I have purchased over 2.5L of the 100mg/ml from various Suppliers. I do have some lab experience but I know most people do not. Not one supplier has shipped a MSDS or a safety fact sheet. I believe some people out there do not understand the risks and a little research will go a long way in keeping the hobby safe and fun for any DIYer.

Sorry I completely forgot to add my main point!

Which is:... The fatality count is at 0 - we're all in this together. The last thing the vaping community needs is media coverage of some poor soul who slipped up with a dangerous level of nic.

For the sake of the whole community, don't touch it unless you are absolutely sure you can safely handle the stuff and have the right equipment, following Liv2Ski's advice above.

I started with 60mg and made my own juices. Just wear gloves and mix it over a plate so nothing gets on the counter, etc.

I only had a problem one time and that was my first DIY batch. I failed to shake the 60mg nic juice bottle well before pouring and failed to shake my 6ml flavored samples of 15mg juices well after being made. I got a wee bit stoned but it only lasted 10 minutes:) Once I shook them, they blended and I've never gotten dizzy again.

It's very easy to make your own but start with 60mg or lower, like MistressNomad advises us to in her videos.

It's only as dangerous as the person using it! If common sense is used, there is no danger. I keep mine locked up in a safe with other items like hand guns. That's how dangerous it can be. All precaution must be taken around kids and pets. My labs are curious and wouldn't hesitate in tasting it had they the chance! My 4 year old granddaughter might play with it if left out. I've had a supply for a few years, not the same bottle. When a bottle is finished, I even wash it out with hot water and soap before tossing the bottle. I also put the washed bottle in a plastic bag then toss it. Like with my pistols and rifles, I'm into hunting and target competition, I treat pure nic in the same manor. You can't be to careful. When handling and mixing, I do it right by a sink. I wash everything thoroughly, icluding my hands with soap and hot water. Never had any problems. Over protective, you bet!

Just for your information 100mg PG or VG is not 100% nic. It is approximately 10% the strength of pure nic. Yes it is dangerous but pure nic is over 1,000mg and yes one drop on your skin can kill you. Luckily, you cannot buy pure nic unless you are a chemist or registered laboratory\chemical company. I have seen 300mg advertised on one website but I doubt the claim. 100mg nic is the highest concentration of nic that can be sold to the general public in the USA. Just a little trivia.
