Iv been searching for a good VV passthrough for the house. I don't understand why usb connectors/cables are always used since they typically don't supply the needed amperage and you end up using a 120v wall plug transformer anyway.

Does anyone make a decent battery-less VV or VW PV? Iv seen the VV 510/eGo passthrough from Vapor Kings but have read mixed reviews about the actual voltage under load and it's cable is only four feet long.

Or recommend a transformer and voltage regulator capable of any PV power requirement?

Pre-built and ready to vape....none that I have seen.

If you are capable of building your own, there are many options available. Most popular choice is probably the LM2596 DC-DC Regulator. Link in my sig for the PT that I built for on the road vaping.

For the house you could use a 12v/2a wall transformer and run that to a small box with the LM2596, switch, and 510 connector.

Thanks.. Iv got a power supply and LM2596, but still need the switch and 510 connector. Any suggestions for either?

Madvapes for the 510 connector

The switch depends on your style. You could mod the board a bit and use a tact switch for a small profile in a small box. A larger switch would just go inline and require a larger box. All depends on what you want. Choosing the form factor of the box is probably the first step.

The board and switch wont fit in a 2xAA box together. He would have to use a tact switch to fit in that box.

Iv decided to make a fake 14500 battery for my reo mini and supply that dummy battery with whatever voltage I want. So as soon as my LM2596 arrives, it wont take much to fire it up. What Im wondering is which atties or carto's I should try on the newly powered reo mini.

Then I start reading about the Nivel chip and SvoeMesto with Semovar and the ability of getting 5.5v from a 3.7 battery (how the hell do they do that) and setting a wattage and leaving it sounds nice. And now Im reading about people vaping close to 20 watts. What atty likes 20 watts? what a interesting rabbit hole Iv fallen down
