Just picked up one of these at a reduced price night before last.NIB, but they are going on sale the last week or so) I had emailed VS before buying it, and they claimed 13 hours of battery life. So far my experience has been a little over half of that. I am using it like my 1100mah stick batteries, and it is lasting a good 2-3 hours less than those. Don't get me wrong the flavor and vapor production is amazing, but how can they make such a ridiculous claim of 13 hours?? The rep at VS also seemed to think my battery was a 1300mah, when it says right on the side of the plastic box that it is a 1200? Can I change the battery out and get 1300? I am running my nautilus mini at 11 Watts, snd 1.9 ohms according to the meter. Also kind of ticked that the battery will show half capacity then suddenly drop like a stone 20 minutes later.

Do I have a dud??

So far the only things amazing me about the DNA30, is the quality of the vapor, and the two hour recharging time. My stick batteries take 4-6 hours each to recharge.

If you are noticing this over your Stick Batteries, You are USING more Power.
USING more power means the battery goes flat SOONER

Seems you have stepped into a world of mods you are unfamiliar with and need more information on in order to understand what is going on.

It is possible you have a defective battery, but it is rare. Faster drop is normal as a battery depletes. You are asking for the Same output from less input, so more is progressively drawn off per use.

No I believe I'm understanding it perfectly well. I essentially paid big bucks for what I already had, but gained a digital display and better vapor quality if I don't care how long the battery lasts. I turned it down to the. Voltage of my twist battery, and the flavor is indistinguishable from that. If I had known I'd have just stayed where I was. I am on the last leg of mg stepdown, and decided to go out in style. I guess I could get 40_50 bucks for it when I am done with it. About a month or so.

Well, had you posted your intentions likely many here would have warned you not to waste your money.

It is Not the device
It is not you

IT IS THE PAIRING OF THE TWO

Most people purchase a higher power device to explore better Tanks and enjoy better flavor/vapor production, not to finish Vaping.

Just out of precaution for internal batteries, I get replaceable via rDNA. When something doesn't seem right, I start changing parts to help identify it. I have Mods that check the resistance, it looks funny, I try a different mod. Same with toppers.

It helps to have spares, even just for checking things.

What I am going to do, is crank the power to get nice flavor, and not worry about it. NBD :)

Now you got it!

Enjoy your new Mod.
Hey, can't answer to VS but many are Pass through. i.e. Vape while charging. If so, you can extend usage greatly. Just don't try it whel critically low on battery.:)

I do think that when a company says how long a charge will last, they are considering it a 3.7v -ish expenditure.

Well, I am having to eat my words now. For some reason after the first week or so, the battery life jumped dramatically. It was dying soon after lunch. Well, the last three days it has lasted me until 9:30 to 10:30 PM!! I was using it just as much as usual. I was doing the typical using the battery until it's dead thing, and it seemed like one day to the next it just jumped up. It is lasting from 5 AM, til about 9:30-10:30 PM. I am as shocked as I guess anyone else would be.

Behavior like that would lead me to believe there may be a wonky internal connection. Hopefully the short battery life phenomenon will not return.
