HI,
I was wondering if anybody can suggest a coil build that I can use to reach a resistance of .14 ohms with 28 guage wire. I don't have anything thicker.
I am running a mechanical mod with a sony 30 amp battery.
Take 3 strands of it and braid them together like a weave. The combined wires will act like a single thicker wire.
When you run high power through wire's like this they act as one whole but the energy is divided between each strand allowing you to be able to run higher power through them without melting them as they might do a single stand.
It will defo get the resistance down to where you need it, what you could do is braid some wire up and then just test how much of it you would need to hit your target resistance, you wouldn't need to make a coil at this stage to test, all you need do is thread a length from your pos+ and neg- post's of your atty then snug the screws down and test on your ohm reader, when you have the length/ohms you need then take this section of wire and wrap on your mandrel of choice.
If you need two coils then just take the first resistance and half it and wrap a second coil with the same number of wraps on the same size mandrel as before
