Okay, I just got a Lemo in the mail and the factory coil looks to be 3mm for an ID with 9 wraps. It shows 1.2 ohms. The guage of wire itself looks (judging) about 28.
I use 28 guage, 1.5 for ID, and 5 wraps and get 1.1 ohms.
The question I have is why such a large coil ID and so many wraps is so close to the same as my usual in ohms? It seems that the factory coil has a lot more surface area and should have a definitely higher resistance than my tiny one.
Why is such a large (factory) coil so close in resistance to my tiny coil?
Thanks for thoughts
