Is their any benefit to using a 14guage wire coil?

Lots of surface area at .5ohms. 2 3/4" long coil only 43 wraps on a 5/64 drill bit vaped at 400 watts gives cool heat flux of 110, 500 watts you get to the temps of your typical 2.5ohm dual Kanger head. Backpack to carry the car battery and your set.

14 gauge would match my ear rings. Maybe I could make a pair of coils/ear rings and always have a spare coil and be fashionable.

According the Steam Engine, it would take 7 wraps on a 3mm mandrel to get 0.1 ohm resistance with Kanthal A-1 14 gauge.

useless.... I just tried it the other day to see if i could. I saw a junked air handler with an electric heater in it, i thought...gee...that's resistance heater wire. One thing led to another. btw it wasnt easy coiling up. Came out to .06 and had a decent vape, but my atty was almost to hot to touch. i took it out and saved it , knowing one day someone would ask about it. lol
