Hello people.
I have not had a cigarette for 167 days and I am OK. My e-cig, low nicotine does the trick. Never puff before 12 midday and last puff is around 9pm. My husband has also stopped smoking but has not found it as easy as me. Our total savings so far on the white sticks is over $1000 .
There is so much I do not understand about 'vaping' and technical jargon so I am embarking on a steep learning curve.
Dr. Oz was on the tele yesterday afternoon and did a rant about the dangers of e-cig nicotine liquid with the aid of a man from the Rocky Mountain poison control lab. They stated that nicotine liquid is a killer and that children could die if they ingest it. I was so angry. The bottom line is they want to ban e-cig liquid unless it comes in sealed cartridges. I hope no one misunderstands me when I say that anything can kill anyone with the right amount of force, ingestion, speed. I just get very angry when 'The Children' are used as a reason to ban something that responsible adults treat with respect. Cars kill. Lets ban them!! Sorry. I must write to Dr. Oz and tell him it was my Primary Care provider who recommended e-cigs!
I have a notion that big tobacco is lurking in the murky background of the negative publicity which is gaining traction.
Thank you for letting me vent and thank you to anyone who reads this.:)

Its good to know that smokers/vapers not only on this forum(though you are now here, :)) but otherwise as well can see through the deception of various authorities and media.....

Consider ....

Dogs - 30-35 people are killed each year in the U.S. Fido isn't always your best friend. BAN dogs??
Deer - 130 people killed across the U.S. by deer, almost exclusively because drivers hit the deers with their cars. That saying "a deer in the headlights" came about for a reason. BAN Driving?
Cows - 22 people are killed in the U.S. every year from these seemingly docile creatures. Ban Milk?

Welcome, and congratulations to you and your husband on giving up smoking!

I agree with you that it would be stupid to ban eliquid just because it is poisonous to drink. Cigarettes could also kill you if you ate them, but they are not going to be banned! Many medicines are dangerous at high levels too. People should (and mostly do) store their eliquid where children cannot access it.
