I have been sifting through the great mooch battery recommendations and maybe I'm being blind but I can't find anything for 18490/500.
What batteries are recommended? I take it the faves are aw imr but what about efest? Heard some troublesome things about their 650's but I'm in the UK and various guys here have recommended 'myepack, ecolux and torchy the battery boy' but I can only find these:

I found them on myepack but I think the CDR is quite low. Anyone know off hand?
Are these reliable, or does anyone know where I can buy the aw's?

I know I should ask on something else UK based but I'm not a member anywhere
Thanks

I personally would only use AW IMR 18490. AW has a great reputation across their entire battery line, including the 18490. 1200mah and a legitimate 18A continuous discharge rate.

Closest competitor would be the purple Efest. "Advertised" as a 1100mah 8.8A CDR, but you already know how Efest over-rates their battery specifications. Since the purple Efests are the company's top of the line battery, I would expect the economy red Efests to have lesser specs.

Ok, yeah, I thought the same. Can you summon some expertise and find out where I would be able to purchase aw batteries from in the uk?
Just ordered my GP paps v4 that's coming on the 5th but he only had an 18500 tube left. Really want to use it on the day.
Thanks

Hey @Baditude
I use a company called creme de vape in the uk. I think they are a pretty good, respected company. You know anything about them or their batteries?

Plan on a high ohm build. Less amps means longer battery time. They won't last long with a low ohm build even if it is within the amp rating.

I am not clear, sorry. Even when I am only messing with my standard which is about 1.2 ohm ~ 3.5 amps or something, I still don't want a fake battery in my mod. +, it would be nice to try out the paps once or twice with a 9/10 amp build for kicks. So even though the aw wouldnt last, it would be fun.

Being across the pond, no I don't know anything about Creme de Vape. You might ask djsvapour.

The AW IMR 18490 should be able to handle a 1.2 ohm build quite easily. Theoretically, it could handle a 0.4 ohm build, too, but as stated by PaulBHC the battery life would be dreadful. If you planned on using this setup all day, I'd carry a couple of spare, charged batteries in a plastic battery case.

Coil amp draw from Ohm's Law calculations for Mechanical Mods:
1.0 ohm = 4.2 amp draw
0.9 ohm = 4.6 amp draw
0.8 ohm = 5.2 amp draw
0.7 ohms = 6 amp draw
0.6 ohms = 7 amp draw
0.5 ohms = 8.4 amp draw
0.4 ohms = 10.5 amp draw
0.3 ohms = 14.0 amp draw
0.2 ohms = 21.0 amp draw
0.1 ohms = 42.0 amp draw
0.0 ohms = dead short

Yeah I know. I use 18650s and it'll last all day. 18350s are a joke, but man do I like the looks on my kiss :hubba:

Yeah I have asked djsvapour so hopefully he can give me some answers.

A .4 is not the goal but I gotta try it just the once. Looking forward to trying this raved about button.
Then I'll put my kayfun in and relax. Thanks

CrèmedeVape are authorised AW battery stockists. Very quick delivery as well. I use them to get my 500 batts. Spot on.
Or, you could try Ecoluxshop uk on FB and ask Norbert what he recommends.

Thanks bud. The guys on here helped so quick I've already ordered them. Expensive but worth it.
I am glad that you have said they are trusted as well.
