i got in contact w/ my redilast supplier and he told me he has an 18500 3.7 nominal voltage 1700mAh unprotected battery that would outperform any 18500 on the market. he didnt mention the brand but i know he supplies both REDILAST/AW/SANYO. All great batteries. I believe him because the redilasts will outperform any battery using a booster for VV. if its a mechanical mod then i'd go IMR all the way but in the provari's case i believe these would work great for those times we choose not to use our extension caps. i wouldnt recommend it to those who vape through 2 18650's a day. anyway....this is just to see who would be interested. once i have a few people interested maybe i can put together a beta group..of course everyone would pay for their own batts but this is in the name of research so keep an open mind.

that being said...i believe that the new provape batteries are from the same line..either REDILAST/SANYO or the like. i have a 2600mAh REDILAST and they look identical and perform the same IMO. i've ran both for over 30 hours of normal vaping. :vapor::vapor::vapor:

I already use my Redilast 2900 mAh 18650 in my provari and it is the best performing Batt out of all of them in my opinion ! If they made and 18500 I believe it would be a good batt too but I dont use 18500's in mine though would consider it if a higher run time would be had from these batts you speak of ( what manufacturer are they ? ). Dave from Provape has already told me his Batt is NOT a redilast though, so maybe Sanyo not sure but it does look just like the Redilast ? I'm not sure it matters in reality but if Redilast is going to be putting out an 18500 do you have a special connection with this guy to get these Batts or any Rdilast Batts at a discount ? I may be in for a couple 2600's and a couple of 2900's if so as well as the 18500's you speak of to give them a try.

First off, I would definitely like to look into this as well. Secondly mwa102464, I just hopped over to the Redilast website, and I see a 3100mAh 18650. Is there any particular reason not to use that one, or are the 2900 mAh batteries just happen to be the only ones you have?

Dalton, sorry I just caught up to this thread, the new 3100 is the same size as the 2900, it will work the same as the 2900 the way I see it but more mAh, I just haven't gotten around to purchasing them yet. I have always sworn by the Redilast Batts and I really love these Batts, they are of the highest quality Batts I have found yet. Like I said I run my 2900's in my Provari Daily, with the small plastic ring that Provari sells with there new Batt you will be able to use these, you will get to close your bottom cap all but 1/16 of an inch, you will need to use the rare earth magnet on the top of the Batt because they have a flat top and the smaller of the thickness of a rare earth magnet you can find the better as for closing up your bottom cap. I say move forward and buy em up, I am.

These also barely fit but do fit in some other Mods I own too ! The run times I get are seriously long.

I guess I should pay better attention to whether or not batteries are flat top. I didn't notice that. While I am sure it is safe to do so, I can't justify to myself sticking a magnet in there for a battery that is honestly unnecessary for me. I generally only have to swap out 18500's once a day. I bought the Provari Power battery, for long trips, and it hasn't seen the inside of my Provari once yet LOL.
