That post was from before I knew he had a boost mod and 1600mAh batteries. I was assuming >2000mAh direct drive. However it is not unreasonable to assume a full day on a boost mod and a >2000mAh battery unless you are running very high watts.

With a regulated mod you can run the batteries much lower that you can with an unregulated mod like the Presice+. 3.2v unregulated is not a good vape for 99% of us. But a boost mod can run right up until the cutoff and still be satisfying. If you change batteries at 3.6v then an AW IMR 1600 is only worth about 800mAh.
You sure about that? Are there any boosted PVs that can run the cells down to the cut-off, and if they could who would want to.

If you change batteries at 3.6v then an AW IMR 1600 is only worth about 800mAh.
And which '3.6V' is that? The under load, or the un loaded? A cell at ~3.2V under load will read about 3.6V unloaded... that's what your charger will see when it starts it's cycle.

Let's look at SuperT's 5A test.

The one thing that is quite obvious, for LR vapers who use unfettered tube mods, the true AWIMR is the still the top dog for those who want the best performance. And if we use your "change batteries at 3.6v " to mean the loaded volts, the AW manages about 30% more mAh than the Panasonic.

I guess I should be more specific.....A boost mod can run right up until the Mod's low voltage cutoff...

3.6v loaded, where I personally notice a drop in vape quality. YMMV

I never contested the AW's performance in an unregulated mod. My recommendation was taylored for a boost mod with a 3.2v LVC.

The 800mAh figure was derived from data found here: Battery test-review 18650 comparator. AW 1600 @ 2A down to 3.6v under load.

Hello every one I know it has been a While since I have been on forum but with work and clean up after the hurricane... I got one of the Xtar WP6 II chargers and all I can say is "SWEET", works much better than that piece of crap charger that came with the LT. No further problems with keeping all the batts charged.

I have another battery question now. I have some "blue, ICR 18650 2200mah" flattop batteries that I bought off Ebay. I didn't use these that much in the LT because they were a hair longer than my other batts and the end cap would not screw all the way down. They worked well, I just didn't use them that much. I read somewhere not to use magnets on top of the batts when using them in a provari. I was just wondering if I could put a little drop of solder on top of the batts to make a button and use them that way in the Provari?
