I currently have 2 MNKE 18650 batteries which I have come to really like after having complications when I first got them where they were having low vapor production. They are now working great! However I am now looking to upgrade to some higher end 18650 batteries.

One battery I have been looking at has been LG 18650 batteries. These ones in particular:

2 LG 18650 3000mAh Batteries Free Storage Case Free Shipping ICR18650D1 | eBay

What is everyone's opinion on these? Would these be a good upgrade from my current MNKE batteries? Are there any batteries out there that are better?

Thanks!

firstly i would stay away from buying batteries from just any ebay seller!

secondly mnke's are a very good battery, they only supply the power are your set up see's fit unless they are getting old. that usually happens around 300 charges give or take. some of the most popular are mnke's, sony, aw imr's. Im waiting for the new purple efest 30amp's to come in. man i hate waiting on packages, but they are suppose to be great.

Yeah... not those...

It's a mystery battery with no specs available. This reviewer speculates it probably has a max current draw of 2 amps based on experience. Test of LG 18650 D1 3000mAh (Pink)

So those would be a big downgrade from what you are using. They look like they are/were intended to build battery packs for power tools.

What device are you using and what kind of resistance to you like to run on it? Chasing the right battery all starts with that info.

I agree with the ebay statement. Heard lots of horror stories about mislabled generic cells being passed off for IMR. Personally I use Eferest not because they are the best, but they are the only ones ive had . I got 4 of them 6 months ago and I havent had the need to replace a single one of them. Thats charging daily and rotating between the 4. My VW device shows them at 3.9V fresh off the charger and when it gives me the low voltage sign they are kicking 3.6V.

I am mostly running sub ohm coils. My current set up is a dual 30 gauge micro coil metering at about 0.5 ohms. I am using a nemesis mechanical mod (hcigar clone) I have heard good things about the sony but just saw the lg today and wasn't sure what to think of them since there wasn't any specs as one of the posters mentioned

READ Baditude's Blogs on batteries.....
It COULD save your face....or your LIFE!!!
Sub-ohming without a "high-drain" battery is inherently DANGEROUS! You MAY be holding what amounts to an IED in your hand!!
STAY SAFE!!
Happy (vaping) Trails!

Thanks dasblucig. Safety is always my first concern which is one of the main reasons I started this forum to make sure the batteries would be safe and also am improvement on what I already have which I've figured out they aren't since I emailed the eBay seller and found out they are only rated at 6.8 or so amps continuous drain which is not nearly high enough for the resistances I usually vape at. Thanks everyone for the replies!
