cheers
Anyone know if you can use the Trustfire CR123a 3.6 volt rechargeable in the P18? Is there a difference in size compared to the CR123a 3.0 volt? Why can't I find any rechargeable 3.0volt CR123a's?

If anyone has any good vendors for rechargeable 3.0volt CR123a's please post em in this thread. Thanks!!

here's whats been tested so far:
I've tried the AW IMR 18650 high drain, the AW Protected 18650 2600mah, the grey ultrafire protected and the Red 3000mah Protected Ultra fire as well as two Tenergy Cr123 3.0volts and they all fit.

pure smoker has the tenergy RCR123a Battery at $4.99 each

also I wonder if the "AW 18650 Protected 2200 mAh" fit the P18.
is there any difference with this battery and the 2600 mAh besides the mAh rating?

Should fit, but there is also a difference, the new one could almost be considered a "high drain" due to its higher output that will more then cover a LR atomizer's power requirements....

PureSmoker.com - USA Electronic Cigarettes & USA Made eLiquid!!!

lighthound carries the AW 3.0V cr123a LiFePo4... which have a higher max drain rating than the Tenergy LiFePo4 3.0V... you can also get them directly from the AW guy through his CPF thread (if you need the link to that let me know)

The AW 2600mAh is a flat top type cell as opposed to a button top like the 2200 as well... though David has said that the flat top 2600mAh will work in the 18650 Precise as well.

I believe The flat top is shorter.
But i could very well be wrong.

what I'd go with:
for 3.7V.....AW 2600mAh
AW 18650 Protected 2600 mAh Rechargeable Lithium Battery - New Version (ultrafire wf-139 charger)

for 6V... AW 3.0V LiFePo4 x2
AW LiFePO4 3 Volt Lithium Rechargeable Battery (ultrafire WF-138A charger)

for 7.4V ...AW 3.7V IMR 16340 x2
AW IMR16340 550 mAh IMR CR123 size LiMN Rechargeable Lithium Battery (ultrafire wf-139 charger with 15mm spacers)

actually if you can afford it I'd say the Pila charger instead of the wf-139 ....but the wf-139 is acceptable (just make sure it's new stock...the old stock ones had issues with overcharging (though there shouldn't be any old stock ones around anymore))

Hey Drozd,

A question regarding chargers. I've been charging my AW 16340 IMR batts with the TR-001 charger which I also use for other batts like AW 16340 LiIon and AW 17670. Is that charger safe to use on IMR batts or should I consider a different one? I seem to be confused on whether IMR batts need a different charger than LiIon batts do in general. Thanks.

Edit: The main reason why I'm asking is because my Li Ions come off the charger between 4.18-4.19V and IMRs are usually between 4.22-4.23V

I'm not Drozd but these posts may answer your question:

I just got some AW18650 2600mah flat top batteries and tossed them into a TR-001 charger. The green light never came one. I finally checked and they were at 4.22v and 4.17v so I didn't want to leave them on any longer. Anyone else run into that issue? The IMR18650 I got went to green just fine. Any advice or cool stories?

I use this one with all my batts, including the AW 18650 flat tops no problem.

AG-126 Lithium Ion Battery Charger

They come off 4.19-4.2 both the same. I have never charged 2 together however. From what I gather the green light only comes on when both batts are fully charged. If one charges quicker than the other, the battery PCB shuts of the current to the charged batt, allowing the current to flow to the one still requiring a charge. Once charged, the green light should come on, and both should read the same.

That's exactly how my TR-001 works..

On a rare occasion (or maybe if you watch it long enough) one will turn green before the other but I find most commonly that they both stay red until both are finished.. Mine come off @r 4.22 - 4.23

Personally I don't think the extra 2 - 3/100ths of a volt really hurt it....
