18650 help

What size is a 18650? I know a 14500 is the same as a aa. I understand the 18 mm 65mm and 0 for round. If i were going to build a box mod... what size box do i use? i cant seem to find a basic answer thru search.

I believe they are around 65mm in length and 18mm in diameter from the few results I got from google.

The battery model number corresponds to its dimentions. 18650 is 18mm wide and 65mm long. While the 14500 is 15mm wide and 50mm long.

That does make quite a bit of sense

I suppose the easiest way would be to compare them to alkaline batteries...but I don't think it actually follows the size of any disposable battery... its thicker than a double A, but thinner than a D cell... Longer than a D cell i think....so....yah. Sorry man, honestly your best bet for a mod is to roll with the 14500s...they carry tons of juice. I've heard of people cutting a battery box and thinning it to make room for 18650s...but that sounds like a pain.

There is no alkaline equivalent to an 18650. A C battery is 25x50mm, and a D is 34x60mm. Madvapes sells a 2C battery box which will take two 18500s without too much trouble, but there isn't anything easily moddable for the 18650 other than flashlights.
