18650 samsung battery question

Hello all!

It appears I have a dented a negative on one of my samsung blue /sob and it needs replacing.

As all of my mods use dual batteries, I have to two of them. One of which is perfectly fine and hasn't got a dent. Am ok to replace the dented battery with the same samsung and call it day?

Also, while looking around I noticed that the replacement battery was a different serial number. For instance, the two I have say 2f52 while the other ones have different numbers on there. Is it ok for me to buy the one and mix it with the other, none dented battery? Or shall I forget both batteries and just get some sony VTC's?

You need to replace both batteries. You might consider buying a tube mech to use all your orphaned 18650's.

EDIT - To be safe, I went ahead and bought some sony's from e-bay!

I'm gonna save the none dented one and throw the other one.

thats a nominal dent... I was expecting some huge gash in the bottom that would cause an issue... save it for a backup battery or single use...

Just a small thank you to those who help and a update:

I lobbed them into some salt water outside my home. It wasn't worth the risk and I have some sony's on their way!
