1st day experience and questions

Hi this is my first post just want to share my first day experience and ask a few questions. I ordered a safecig last week (not knowing the that there might be better options) which i ran across searching the web seemed like a credible company. The cig arrived today, at about 1. I had one analog this morning... hurting waiting for the mailman. I opened the box and puffed away. My first impression was the taste was ok. I dont like how difficult it is to get a good drag.
1.) Are better models easier to drag?
I do have to say even though it is not as satisfying as my american spirit menthols, I have a full pack and have not smoked one. I didnt even realize it until a few min ago. so It definatly helps on the mental aspect. I guess that is the most important.
2.)Can I refill this safe cig with e liquid and if so will it improve my experience? And if so what?
I will eventually buy a better model but for now the holiday season has me strapped for cash any suggestions on improving the experience with what i have?

OK so it is not the best but you found us and welcome. It also has shown you that vaping can get you off analogs. You are following a typical path (like me and others). I needed one that looked like cig and w/auto draw. It got me off those damn coffin nails. It did not taste great but worked. Prefilled cartos for them were pricey and after buying some I quickly figured out they CAN be refilled. Just don't vape them dry or you will burn the filler. Order a bottle or two of juice that is similar in flavor that the prefilleds came with. take the tine form a fork and place in plastic hole and pry off. Drip some of the juice on the wadding and you will be able to reuse them.

If you can list a few requirements for what you are looking for and what type of smoker you are members here will jump in w/reccomendations to fit your needs. Happy Holidays

Hi Katillman, Welcome!! My first e-cig was not great either, but it did take my cravings away. Lots of good info here on the forum to help you succeed. Once you have the $$ to buy an e-cig & juice you really like, it'll be much easier to avoid the cravings. Several of the suppliers are having sales & even freebie give away contests here on the supplier side of the forum, so be sure to take a peek at that.

I really want something with a full body feel and mentol. I am vaping the safecig menthol 14mg right now. Which I guess might not be enough(smoked 1/2 a pack of analogs a day American spirit menthol). It doesnt seem to have the smoky/menthol flavor I want. I feel like I am smoking altoids! Its not terrible i mean i eat altoids its just not what I am used to.. any suggestions on juice. and how do I know when to stop so i dont dry or burn the filler?

No problem that is what we do here, watch out for each other. I am not a menthol smoker but any menthol juice would be an easy fill for those cartos. I am sure someone who digs menthol can give you a point in the right direction for a really good juice. You wil know when they are getting low when vapor production drops off and flavor will get weak. when that happen just collect them and keep in a baggie until you get some juice. Then you can refill a few. will save you $$$ untill you find what fits your needs. I went from something similar to what you have to a 510, to an eGo, to the Provari. I WAS a 1.5PAD smoker for 28 years.

About the models- I have seen a lot of people raving about the eGo and 510's- so check those out most definitely when you think your ready to try a different model! I myself just started and I'm now over 24hrs into my vaping- so far so good here. I use a 510 model and it is great! I hope to upgrade to the eGo in a couple months (sooner hopefully). I wish I could help you more on your juice- but like I said- I too just started. However you can try this site vaporsetc.com they are currently running a 25% off special with coupon code 'holiday' and they have a sampler pack where you can try 5 flavors- I think they come in 3ml bottles. I just ordered from them today myself and with shipping it was only like 10 bucks- I saw the site on a different post. Definitely check out the coupon code place mentioned- I need to do that myself since I am pretty much broke. i do have to say I have tried many different ways to quit the analogs. I went from smoking 1 pack a day for 8 years, quit for two. Then started back up a few months ago. I beat my self up for even starting again and the better half hates it. This really seems like the answer. Its really good to see post from 20+ year smokers that really sound like they found the answer. I didnt know something like this even existed. Awsome. If what I have is bottom of the line then this is truly a godsend. Everyone I know/ work with smokes analogs. Today they were all amazed with the ecig. 5 people at least told me they wanted one!
Hope they do.. I will send them this way!

Most definitely! I smoked 1 pack a day for 19yrs and I'm over 24hrs w/o an analog. I am being the guinea pig for my family. They have all said that if it works for me that they too may try it. I say the more the merrier! One thing is you can always secretly giggle at those who still smoke analogs when they have to go outside into the cold or rain to have one while you stay toasty warm or dry inside! haha j/k XD- that would prolly be mean.... I know that as long as I am vaping and it is working I will be raving to everyone I know who smokes to try it out and refer them to this forum! These guys and gals are great!

Kat, I was a heavy Menthol smoker too. I started vaping menthol, but really disliked the taste. I've ended up enjoying the coffee, and mint and other sweet flavors instead. I'm slowly now going to sweet tobacco tastes as my taste buds are changing! The only "menthol" flavor I could stand was the "alien express" from vapesafe.com. So, you'll just have to experiment to see what you like. I just don't think that any e-liquids (that I've tried ) exactly can match the menthol analog cigarette flavor.
