Once again, I appreciate all of the input. It is bearable because I like to "act like a man" and take it. Honestly, at 2.8Ohms, 5.2v is giving me the best smoke. I will play around with the mixtures when my cache comes in the mail. It just freaked me out initially when it hit so hard and the smoke didn't go away.

Everyone (probably vendors) always talk about a "pleasurable vaping experience" and how the smoke goes away. Really, it's not that bad, but prior to taking my first puff, it was so hyped up, I expected sucking on a little piece of heaven. Nice refreshing water vapor that tastes like candy.

I've some vivi novas and some quality juice headed my way. With the VV/VW mod, I shouldn't be complaining at all. Honestly, I'm going through my whole apartment and cleaning the walls as we speak while the laundry is being done. Id much rather walk around smelling like chocolate brownies than an ash tray. This vaping isn't too bad!

Thanks for your support and help!

i agree with everything that was said, but ill chime in anyway. reduce your nic content, if at 24mg go to 18mg or less. also try 100%vg juice as it helped me when i first started years ago and find a percentage you like from there, and most of all dont give up and stay with cigs. it only gets better, waaaay better. oh yeah and like was said above, drink a ton of water, if you dont you will get dehydrated and get massive headaches. hope you stay with it and enjoy the good life, the extra money(which you will undoubtedly spend on juice :)), and longer life.

Everyone one has given really good advice here so follow all that but I just wanted say that eventually after about 2 weeks to a month (that's how long it took for me) it will be very smooth and very enjoyable and you'll actually find yourself trying to increase throat hit and really enjoying that. You're throat and lungs are just very damaged and basically raw they just need time to heal up a little bit. Yeah i would try out some cartomizers since they seem smoother to me and you have a wider range of where you can have the voltage without burning the liquid or having wicking issues like in a clearomizer.

I am 28. I've been smoking Marlboro Reds mainly since I was 15. 13 years now. Back when I was a teenager, when cigs were in short supply, we'd raid our parents' ashtray and smoke butts. Not just butts, but we took the filter out and smoked it raw.

Everybody knows that a cig's potency gets higher as you continue to smoke it. The nicotine sticks to the rest of it, and by the time you are smoking the ...., its full of nicotine and tar. Now. Imagine smoking only that. It's super harsh. As a kid, its all we had, so we smoked it like that. 2 butts would give you enough nic comparable to a full cigarette.

Today, I get my Vamo2, a ce4 clearo, a smaller 1mL clear and some juice from Vapor Alley. Sweet Tart It is 75pg/25vg in 24mg. I got some Mt Dew, some Sweet Tart, n some Blackberry. The clearo is 2.8Ohms and i'm running it between 3.8 and 5.4v.. A fixed 3.7 on my other 18350 mod also.

There's two potential issues, i'd like to address.

#1. Imagine how strong that cig .... would be with no filter, and multiply that strength by two, and you now know what I feel like every time I take a puff from my ecig. It is super coarse on my throat and it doesn't "hurt" when I inhale, but it's WAYY stronger than my Marlboro Reds. (smoked a few this morning) What gives? It's not a pleasurable experience lol It's almost choking me out. I've ran about 1mL juice thru the one carto so far. The Mt Dew isn't as bad, but almost.

#2. I was told that since vaping is not smoke, it's just water vapor, that the "smoke" disappears after a few seconds after you blow it out. This is not happening for me. My apartment looks like I turned on a fog machine. If you remember how cig smoke would sort of linger and dissapate; well, this doesn't. It's like a cloud and it doesnt go away lol.. Is this normal? I thought 25% vg would cut some of the smoke (which supposedly disappears right away anyways)

Time.. and more fluids. It's just your body's new learning curve. Also, the less cigarettes you actually smoke will help. You're body is getting two different signals if you're still smoking a cig now and then. I was a 2PAD little cigar smoker (I used them just like cigarettes) and I thought I could take anything.. even the Blu's from 2009 made me cough and tore up my throat. Same happened when I started ecigs in Sept. You will get through it.

finn, I had a similar situation. I was vaping some garbage that a local, uninformed vendor sold me that said 24mg nic. That wasn't cutting the craving for me so, being the adventurous one I ordered 36mg unflavored nic juice at 50%PG/50%VG and some flavors. HOLY FRIJOLE!!!!! Talk about making me cough, and I smoked Marlboro Full Flavor Menthol for over 30 years!

I cut the nic juice with some 0 nic VG to 40PG/60VG making the nic level about 20mg. That throat punch was gone completely. I don't know for sure if it was the reduction in VG or the reduction in nicotine, but I suspect it is the VG.

As many have said, a high nicotine, PG blend, a mixture of BOTH, and a high wattage/voltage will significantly increase your TH.

I know you already have your juice, but if you can wait, buy some 100% VG juice and mix it until you experience a smoother vape.

Also, play with your voltage and wattages.

ALSO, vapor is extremely harsh on new vapers for some reason, it's just different than smoke. Seems like it wouldn't be that way, but it IS. My cousin tried my eGo Twist @ 4.4 volts on Christmas and actually threw up because it hit her so hard (I felt really bad), but it will take a week or two of getting used to it before it gets 'pleasurable' sadly. Just man up and work through it! :)

Fourth and final recommendation...puff it into your mouth (like a cigar) THEN inhale into your lungs. This is the main mistake newbs to vaping make. When you inhale directly from the PV you are going to experience a MUCH harsher hit than you normally should.

GL BUD!

Well more nicotine in the juice can cause more coarseness on the throat, but I think your best bet would be to try a different brand of either juice or e cigarette. I've been smoking the Blu cigs and have no complaints on harshness. It has been a little more harsh for some of the flavours, but is overall very smooth and thick clouds, no burn whatsoever. So if you ask me, you've probably got a problem with quality which could be easily fixed by using better quality vaporizing materials. Hope I helped!

Using the Jet at the moment('bout to look for new setup), but I've noticed this after using juice, the original prefilled cartridges didn't do it so much. While there's vapor in the air(like a fog machine), it doesn't smell and if it does, the best thing is, it doesn't smell like cigarettes. If I chain vapor, it'll last longer, but one hit and it's gone in seconds.
