It's a flavour chemical natually occuring in roasted barley, coffee and asparagus. It has "Musty, nut skins, cocoa powdery, roasted coffee and bready" flavour notes. It is moderately toxic, but is considered safe for use as a flavouring in the kind of low concentrations that it's used at.
great thank you this last part is what i did not get when i read about it, being toxic yet safe, thank you very much "NOW REALLY ENJOYING MY vape" ,i just get kind of curious and a little suspicious with things that i can't pronounce on my first try
It's much like the nicotine in e-juice, really. It's toxic in and of itself, but in the levels at which it is used it's pretty safe (barring doing anything really stupid )
It is tough to understand though for some people how a chemical can be toxic yet safe at the same time. also its because of nicotine and the flavoring chemicals in them that you need to be 18 in order to buy them, and why they advise you keep them away from kids and pets. lets be honest here some of the e-juices smell really good and to a child who doesn't know better they look like something to drink.
Sunshine causes cancer. Humans need sunshine in order for our bodies to make Vitamin D, a critical hormone-like substance of which most people in modern-day societies are now deficient. Water is also critical to human survival, yet drinking too much of it at one time can kill you.
Life is complicated. But "the dose makes the poison."
Oh how I wish schools actually still taught science in so-called "science classes."
