Hi

I'm relativly new to vaping, but enjoying so far :)

Started with a 510 from a company called Genesis (not the pop group) and used std atomizers.... bought some Royal Smokers Cartomisers and fits ok and running well.

Went to buy some additional batteries (as the ones have run out real quick) and stumbled across a bargain on Amazon Electronic TTcigs E Cigarette with Spare Battery: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

It arrived today and I tried to use the cartomziers in it only to find that the male thread was too small! Looking at the batteries they are approx 1-2 wider in the female end

The atomiser from the bargain is too large for my genesis.

The question i'm asking is are there various male/female sizes to the 510 and will i keep getting this problem if i look elsewhere for 510 batteries etc?

Any assistance/advice would be great! Thanx

No the 510 (meaning the Joye 510 which is the original model, and it's many clones) has a specific thread size and pitch. If you've used Royal Smokers 510 cartomizers with the Genesis batteries then I would expect that those are the correct size. I have a feeling that Genesis are affiliated with HK Hangsen who make e-liquid and (apparently) e-cigs. The "bargain" is likely to be something else. Perhaps there's a good reason it's so cheap!

You have probably been had by someone claiming that something was a 510 when it wasn't. Its not hard to imagine that someone would take advantage of a new user by claiming they have 510s because that is a "big name" in vaping. It appears both of the supplies you have used cater to new users and are not on the forum approved suppliers list. I would guess that one of your purchases was actually an 801.

I suspected as much - it seems that the adage' if it's too good to be true then it normally isn't' applies.... Thanks for the help people - this is a great site and i'm glad i found it! :)

It's too late to send the 'bargain' back but i'll post a review so other don't make the same mistake!
