I haven't smoked an analog since early last September. I wanted to point out 2 side effects:
1. Yes, my sense of smell has returned, but no one warned me about some of the stinks cigarettes had been covering up! Really, people? Between the husband's barking spider and the idiots who think a perfume overdose is better than a wash in a heat wave...eugh!!!
2. Today is the first time since I quit that I have washed my windows! OMG!!!! I cook a lot of pasta and the nicotine ran rivulets down the glass! The stench of the cleaning water would knock a snipe off a gut wagon!

To anyone else trying to dump the butts...its all worth it, promise! At least all that crud is being washed away!

The most humorous, and probably most numerous, inquiries have been, "Does vaping cause a stronger urine odor?"

Ummm... well, yes, thanx to our improved 'sniffers'!

I never really smoked inside, so thankfully my apt didn't need to be deep cleaned. But ohhh my car. 2 days after I quit cigarettes I got in my car and almost gagged. Several bottles of Odor Ban later and it's pretty much all gone. The key to remember when cleaning the car is to get the headliner. Cigarette smoke wafts up, so it gets into the hl pretty bad.

OMG... I noticed this too!!! I've also discovered how truly awful my husbands gas issue really is!

My little Dachshund has that same problem.

I am so glad I smoked while my 70lb Springer was old. He got so bad before he died that it would wake me up (with him on the floor and a ceiling fan going). I probably would've literally barfed if I could smell like I can now.

I never realized how bad my sense of smell was affected by smoking. I work in a grocery store and a little over a week after I stopped smoking cigs the smell of the fresh produce was coming through strong. I must have looked like a nut going around sniffing all the fruits and veggies. Then one day I got this awful smell and started looking around trying to find out what it was. I hadn’t smelled that in a while. It was some guy who smelled like he hadn’t taken a shower in a week, wow man take a bath! So yes having a great sense of smell isn’t always a good thing.

And our beagle. :|

It's like sensory overload for me. My nose was already pretty keen, now it's overwhelming. I can smell it if someone has some kind of infection. I can smell it when the other women in my house are having ladystuff. I can smell the garbage disposal from the dinner table. I can smell my nephew's monumental diapers from my bedroom.

But there's perks, too. Oh the smell of fresh produce from our garden. I've rediscovered my love for my favorite perfumes ("Fetish" and CK one), mmm the smell of a new book.
