Hello I would recommend an istick 30 watt mod with a nautilus Mini tank.

This is pretty much the go-to starter kit for new vapers. It's going to cost you a bit more than an Ego but it's definitely worth it and will last you for a very long time. All in all a solid investment.

Thanks VCross,
I'm definitely looking into that. I've been kind of disappointed along this journey because the local brick and mortar I went to sold me a crap starter kit and I didn't know any better, so I've ended up spending more than I originally thought i would when I was trying to save money by quitting smoking. having to replace everything has kind of crushed my spirit. However, I know that spending the money upfront is going to fix that issue. . . but all my replacements have been emergency situations. :D

Thanks for the advice.

Try not to let it get you down too low. My first 4-6 months were a nightmare. Mods constantly failing, tanks leaking, batteries dying, burnt coils, nasty juice, etc etc. Just stick with it for a little bit and keep your chin up and you'll definitely get what you're looking for in a good vape. In the long run, you'll notice the savings. The start-up costs (mods, tanks, juice, coils etc) is what discouraged me at first when I was first looking into vaping about 2 years ago but you will notice it after a while. Especially when you get into DIY and you spend $15 on wire and cotton and have enough to build coils for over a year lol. My rule of thumb for dealing with B&M's is if they're not noob-friendly, go somewhere else. If their staff is knowledgeable and friendly but their gear isn't cheap buy some juice and pick their brains. If they're knowledgeable and friendly and their gear is reasonably priced, I try to stay a regular.

If any of you guys have a minute can you give me a dummy's explanation of how the wattage is going to affect the vaping experience? I've read tons about how to figure out VV and VW and ohms and whatnot but I can't seem to get a concrete explanation of what actually CHANGES in your experience. Say if I were to switch from the cgoC twist to the istick 30w?

Basically, it's like turning up the hot water knob while you are in the shower. The more wattage you pump into the atty, the more vapor you get and the more heat. Play with it when you get it and find your personal sweet spot. Start low and bump it up a lil with each puff. If it gets too hot or you get a dry hit, that's too much. Turn it back down. If you get a dry hit, puff it a few times without hitting the fire button to help re-wet your wicks.

All other things being equal, more wattage (it means more power) equals more vapor and higher temps. With your current setup, you're probably vaping in the 8-12 watt range, depending on where you set the spinner and your coil resistance. When you get your iStick 30 (do; you can thank us later. Now your spinner's working, you can buy it online to save money, wait for it to come in, and then use your spinner for backup.) start low on the watts; in the 9ish watt range. Vape it some, and crank it up a notch. Keep it up until you find your personal sweet spot, where you get the vape you like best. Expect to move it around a bit in the beginning. As you get farther away from cigs, your taste buds come back and your nic dependence lowers. Be further advised different coils and different juices like different watts. The process is trial and error so don't be afaid to experiment. It will take a while-- it just takes time, and you're shooting at a moving target--but you will get there. You will. I did.

Edit: and definitely find another shop.
