Day 3 down! This one was a little tougher. No big "gotta have a smoke" moments but kind a like an underlying urge that would sneak up at times. Got my morning coffee at on the way to work and resisted the temptation to pick up a pack. Grabbed the Riva instead. I always keep a couple of flavors in 2 Riva's and a couple of Volts as a backup. Not taking any chances at this point! Got to remember to drink more water though.
On to day 4.
Go Wayne go! I think my experience quitting was similar to yours in that I didn't start vaping with the intention of quitting smoking. Oh I hoped it would lead to quitting, but by no means did I order my ecig planning to quit cold turkey. It was gadgety and interesting, but by crikey smoking was an enjoyable habit.
Sooner or later you might give into temptation and light up another analog. If you're used to vaping, the sensation of the analog's accelerants forcing the nicotine into your brain will feel alien and dangerous. You'll frown at the ashy taste in your mouth, and again you'll feel self conscious about the offensive smell on your clothes and on your breath. And after a few months you'll be able to smell secondhand smoke from a hundred yards away. It'll be unpleasant to smell, but at the same time satisfying to know that you will no longer be tempted. Go ahead and have a smoke if you really want one. You might find that you would rather be vaping, and you'll snuff out your cigarette after only a couple of drags.
I think I've had maybe a half a pack of smokes since I started vaping last July, but none since September or so. I'd just rather puff on German chocolate cake or strawberry buttercreme cupcake than ash. And it took almost no willpower.
