Thought Id share my experience of giving up analogues with the e.cig
We Started E smoking on 23rd October with 901b and have not had an analogue since then. Previously smoked 30-40 hand rolled per day for 30 years. (my wife 25 per day for 20 years). We have both found it very easy to give up almost too easy!)
We initially ordered 2 starter kits, with extra atomizers (so that gave us a total of 4xbats, 4x atomizers). One of each were dead on arrival and were easily and quickly changed under 30 day warranty.
We have found the 901 to be an excellent starter e.cig, easy to use and maintain great for topping off with liquid of your choice.
The standard carts taste bad and I quickly found that 5 drops in a blank cart of TW French pipe (high) mixed with 1drop of TW menthol (high) gave me just the right amount of throat hit and tasted great. (just menthol for my wife, French pipe is not to all tastes!) We re-use carts for 2-3 days then wash them out.
The original hardware is just starting to get a bit tired, one bat and one atomizer failed this week. They have been used constantly for 2 months so time for some replacements I think.
We have recently changed to TW medium (11mg) liquid with no problems.
I have now decided to try the Intellicig EVO (improved M401 I think) which arrived this week (2 days from order to delivery at this time of year is excellent service!) and initial impressions are very good.
The batteries last longer, 10-12 hours on 1 as opposed to 2-3 for the 901. More Vapour, the draw is smoother and much more consistent. The carts last longer even though they are smaller they seem to use up more of the liquid. I find the 901 carts taste bad long before the liquid runs out so need topping off more frequently.
The EVO is not quite as easy to refill as the 901 because the core is recessed and to avoid liquid in the mouthpiece its best to remove the inner core holder from the mouthpiece before topping up. Not difficult but less straight forward than the 901.
There is a new matt black EVO about to be launched with a smaller battery which I will order lets hope the battery is not too small because battery life is one of the EVOs main strengths.
If the EVO is still as good after another 2 months then I think there may be a cheaper, better alternative to the 901, Ill keep you updated.
Sorry about the long post but 2 months is a long time!
