What results does your meter get, please?
Sorry to ask this but it will answer every question here. Also, we can't answer until we know what the meter readings are - and once you have those, you won't need to ask here
Basically, if you have
batteries you need a meter. Here, you'd measure:
- What the dud battery voltage is before/after being in the charger for an hour.
- What voltage other
batteries come off the charger at.
- What voltage your batteries come out of your APV at when you decide to recharge them or when it tells you they are dead.
Once you know those things it's easier to work out what's going on here. For example, the battery might be a fake and there is nothing wrong anywhere. Or, maybe you are killing the batteries by dragging them down to 3 volts before you recharge them. Or, maybe the charger is cooking the batteries and they are coming off charge at 4.4 volts. Or maybe the charger light is faulty and everything is OK apart from that. Or, maybe you put the batt in the APV or the charger the wrong way round. Or...
Nobody knows, without the meter info. Sorry
