2 Week Old Joye 510 isn't producing as much vapor as I'd thought!

Hello,

My 2 week old Joye 510 isn't producing nearly as much vapor as i'd like. When I drip 3 drops directly onto the atty, it produces the amount of vapor i'd think it would produce to begin with.

I'm using a teabag filler, and some Tasty Vapor custom e-liquid which has 20% VG.

Please help!

So when you drip it produces good vapor, but with the tea bag cart it doesn't? Hummm... maybe it's time to turn to dripping full time then. I threw out the carts after a few days myself.

Otherwise, I'd suggest looking into other cart mods possibly? I'm sure someone with more cart experience will be along in a minute though.

I was thinking that it might be the filler, i've heard good things about Fluval...

Try the B F D cart mod if you would rather use a cart than drip. I swear by it.

I eventually just said heck with it, I'm going to get a drip tip and be happy! It gives me the best flavor and TH, but isn't for everyone..

You may also want to consider 510 cartomizers. I have found them to produce the vapor I'd expect from a new atty but consistently. They last me 3-4 days each (refilling of course). A pack of 5 only cost about the same as one atty.

I used ptb and gave it up after a day...wasn't consistent, sometimes flooding my atty, sometimes starving it. Moshmarr's list of links missed one of the easiest mods imo:

Highping's mod is really the simplest and you don't need to buy or get anything else. Takes about 10 seconds to do it, really, and works fine. I drip 90% of the time, just started using cartos, but still like this because it takes no effort at all.

Flooding the atomizer will reduce vapor producton. Running a 510 dry usually will taste bad before it looses vapor production. Most atomizers I have start loosing their vapor production after 2-3 weeks of use. I usually drop them in a bin and then later switch to HV and use the old atomizers. They work another 2-3 weeks and then die. USed to clean them, but it is a PITA for me, though I was considering one of those little hand held steam cleaners... I drip, use carts with highping mod or just regular cart/fluval, and switch over to cartomizers when I need something for more then an hour without refilling. Some juice will kill an atomizer quicker then others also. Lately I have discovered the unstopable 306 w/ drip tips on my 510 stuff...I have been using a the same 306 going on 2 months and it is still going strong!

the cart mod that i do like is a combination of the spring, high ping, and blue foam mod. =] been using it today and i LOVE it. =]

i basically use a small piece of blue foam about the size of the high ping mod, use the spring in the cart to keep it high up in the cart so that it's in constant contact with the wick and it works like a charm. =]

I got an Ego yesterday and use a prefilled 510 cartomizer - vapor is big and consistent for a whole day (or until a cartomizer lasts - for me it is a day). Many vendors have them now - cigtechs, liquidexpress, etc. in many flavors and mg. You can refill them a couple of times when they are almost empty. They work great on Ego (I remove the cone when I use them).Maybe, try them.

If I don't have the vapor I expect I check the atty for flooding that is usually it. If you don't want to do a mod try pulling the filler in the cart back up to the top that works too.

Just give 510 cartomizers a go. I love them, and even if you find they aren't for you it wasn't a large investment. Good Luck.

they dont taste right after a week. and TH is slightly diminished, when compared to a fresh one. That is why I like cartomizers. but they didnt have 510 cartos when i made the switch, so i use a 808d-1. many people are very happy with the 510 cartos, and i would suggest giving those a try! LiteCig has em, and 510 attys, free shipping over $15. I just got some cartos (808) and a 901 atty for myself.
