So I have been using the 510 for about two weeks now. I was a casual smoker (2 packs a week) and am now going half and half with vaping and PV. The reason is that i cannot seem to get a consistent throat hit on my 510. I typically drip 2 drops on the atty, two into the cloth, and take slow drags. Some will knock me outta my shoes, some will produce alot of vapor exhaled but no "effect" to speak of (throat hit or nicotine buzz). I love the change as i feel physically better already after two weeks and am trying to make the full swing to full vapor and no more PV's.

So far as i can tell, a very very slow draw will produce a nice hit, a fast one will just create alot of empty fog. Sometimes i will not feel a throat hit but will cough like a mug.

I agree that a slower draw produces the best effect, much like the draw on a pipe. The charge in the battery can also affect the hit as a freshly charged battery will have a little higher voltage. When you fill the cart, try filling it all the way or until it quits soaking in but not so much there is a pool on top. This gives you a little more liquid to wick into the atty. Another thing that can increase the hit if you have a manual battrey, hold down for 1/2 - 1 sec before you start drawing....that heats up the atty a little, if you have an auto battery, take a quick puff or two without inhaling, then do the slow draw.

Try the ADM mod here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/experiments-equipment/46125-i-call-adp-mod-auto-drip-mod.html

It has been the only thing that got me consistency. The atomizer is a big culprit in this also, always keep it wet and do not dry burn it too long. There is a wicking material under the metal bridge you can see, if it burns, the atomizer will not function well then. (trust me, I am using a fried one now and will be smoking analogs before the night is over).

Instead of inhaling in you mouth then breathing in draw the vapor in straight to you lungs.. takes some getting use to but I found that this works better with the so so attys... I have one atty that will blow my head off and I cant take in straight in but the other 4 I have I have to inhale strait to my lungs.. when you feel the tickle in your chest stop and exhale..
