Looks like I'll be in Montreal for 2 weeks towards the end of September. Of course will have to mix up heaps of juice for the trip and bring all my hardware. How vaping friendly is the Montreal region and what the heck is there to do? I've been up there a few times but never over a weekend with any real free time.

Would love to hear from some residents that I might be able to meet up with and chat about vaping, life, and of course...BEER!

I didn't even bother reading your entire message, the last word caught my attention :) Montreal is home to some of the best micro breweries in the world, if you're a fan I can definitely point you in the right direction.

As far as how vape friendly the city is, I would have to say no more no less than any other city. I wouldn't necessarily start blowing clouds of vapor at just any restaurant, but Montrealers are very friendly so worst case you'll be told very politely to put it away.

What to do in Montreal: eating, we have a very varied selection of cuisines in this city it's insane. Lots of trendy neighborhoods to hang around during the day and go out at night. In terms of "touristy" stuff, there is not a whole lot, unless you're into museums and churches etc.

What dates are you coming exactly? Maybe we can try to set up a mini Montreal vape meet :toast:

Looks like I'll probably arrive the evening of September 18th and head home on the 1st. I've seen most of the churches and museums downtown so would be looking for interesting things elsewhere. I've not spent much time on the riverfront areas either.

A meet sounds really good - I am usually the one to organize these back in Utah so would be awesome to attend one in another country and see how things differ. I'll have to mix up a super big batch of my D'anana and perfect my cheesecake before coming up!

Good area to be in, you're close to the action. Only a few minutes away from Crescent street where there's always something happening in terms of bars/clubs etc if that's your kind of thing.

One of my favorite areas of Montreal is the Plateau, again more bars/clubs on St-Laurent street but also a whole sleuth of restaurants. If you're a beer drinker you owe it to yourself to go check out Dieu du Ciel which is around that area as well. World renowned beer, ever changing menu of beers. I've yet to try vaping in that place, but there's only one way to find out if it's a vape friendly establishment :) Then of course there's the mountain not too far, and I'm pretty sure you'll be able to see the Tam-Tams even in late September. A bit further up the mountain there's a really great lookout point with a view of the whole city.

By the water there's the old port which is a very popular tourist hangout. Lots of cafes and terraces, although it might be a bit chilly late September (welcome to Montreal). I work in that area so we could always meet up for a "vape lunch" :vapor:

You should also go see the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, where the F1 race takes place. It's on a tiny little island south east of Montreal (15 minute drive from where you're gonna be), and the casino is also on that same island.

Judging by your picture I assume you like to fish? You can go on the canal Lachine, which is also a huge bike/rollerblade path. You can also go a bit further down and stop at this other awesome brewery called McAuslan.

If you're into hiking/mountain biking etc. you should rent a car and drive up to Mont-Tremblant national park which is about an hour and a half away from Montreal. Absolutely amazing.
