The hunter is a regulated power device, the general answer is yes, as long as the resistance is within its operating range.
But, you must use a cell with a suffeciant CDR to support the power range you intend to use to be safe.

" IMR 18650 with 3.7v " isn't a brand, model, mah or CDR so you don't provide enough info to give an accurate answer.

BTW 3.7v is the nominal voltage of the cells we use, fully charged they're 4.2v.

I'm in agreement with Topwater. When using a regulated battery device, coil resistance is irrelevant; what is relevant is the wattage setting you choose and whether the battery you use can provide the wattage. This is determined not by Ohm's Law, but Watt's Law.

"IMR 18650" doesn't really provide much useful information about the battery. Not all 18650 IMR batteries are equal in chemistry, nor in performance or specifications. We choose batteries by brand and model, by their specific specifications (amp rating and mah rating), and by performance expectations for the way we vape individually.

In most vaping applications, the amp rating is most important; while in other applications the mAh rating has a higher priority.
