I believe this is allowed as per the forum rules, please remove if not. Does anyone mix with 200 mg base? I'm thinking about purchasing some but am a little hesitant. Do you take any extra precautions that you do not do with 100 mg base? Are accidental spills terribly dangerous or is it still a simple quick wash off and clean up? Any other thoughts?

I do have and occasionally mix with 200mg and you do need to use extra caution. I use latex gloves and eye protection and pay careful close attention to mixing detail and follow all precautions carefully. I don't recommended it for the unseasoned or new DIY'er. Spills do need to be washed off skin quickly and completely cleaned up from surfaces. You do not want to be casual or careless with 200mg. The fact is caution and common sense should be used when handling any Nicotine.

"The Danger Zone"?
And where would that be exactly?

I have some 200 arriving tomorrow, not concerned. Just hope E-Liq doesn't suck. :D

I wear glasses with 100 because I suspect it would sting... a lot.
Gloves I wear more for convenience than protection, though I'd agree 200 might not be pleasant to get a couple drops on the skin. No hardship to keep using them.

[edited]

Might be wrong and it's not that bad... but I still bet it's um... fragrant. :p

Where did you order it from if you don't mind me asking. I got mine from ecigexpress.

I got that deal from them a while back.I haven't tried it yet,but it is highly recommended by a few other members. What i'm going to do though,is to break it down into 2 liters of 100mg since i've been working with 100mg for a long time now.

I plan to have 200 mg for long term storage. After transfer to a 1 liter amber glass bottle it will be years before I need to open it. When that time comes I'll dilute the contents down to 100 mg. Half of it will go into a 1 liter bottle and the other half will go into four 250 milliliter bottles. I use 250 ml bottles as the active bottle, the one I mix from every couple of weeks. I won't be treating 200mg nic the same as 100 mg.

I won't be treating double strength nicotine the same as 100 mg.

Nor should anyone... they're not the same.

I believe yours might be the same quality nic I bought from NicRiver previously though I haven't tried it yet (Nicselect)... and I would have preferred that as I've seen all good reviews.

For this I went with E-Liq because, first... the higher concentrations which I haven't see at many vendors, and second... the inexpensive up-charge to get them in glass bottles.

And the sizes. I calculate I use a tad less than 250ml of 100mg a year.
E-Liq's selections go all the way down to 60ml bottles (I got six 120ml @ 200mg).

But I'm glad to see two positive comments about them in this thread... they're quite inexpensive, had me a bit worried. :p

And I see my comment about the next higher concentration got edited... in broad strokes... I was concerned that it might present a ventilation challenge so I went with 200mg/ml.

Hope that phrasing works... I think it's a valid consideration to have out there. :)

A risk that needs to be considered with nic concentrate is an accidental spill. WIth 200mg the risks might be more serious. My amber glass storage bottles are meticulously labeled with date, contents and nic %. The bottle goes into a heavy zip lock bag. That is wrapped with thin bubble wrap, taped and tied off with string. If the bottle breaks in a drop may be the zip lock bag will not tear, contain the spill and allow salvage. If not have a spill kit ready to use. That would be things like nitirile gloves, eye protection, bucket, mop, dust pan. May be a bag of absorbant material like kitty liter. In the shop where I work we have spill kits for hydraulic fluid and other nasty stuff we work with. When it's time to finally work with the 200mg stuff plan everything ahead to minize distraction or clumsy actions. I say reduce the entire bottle to 100mg strength when you finally need the supply.

This is one of those things that is written in stone and will not be changed. 200mg is the max strength allowed for discussion on ECF.

Fair enough... your house, your rules.

It does sound like an arbitrary line in the sand though.
Can you explain the original rationale behind the cut-off? This seems an appropriate thread.

:)

Rolygate describes and explains the "why" of this rule in the actual Forum Rules.

Bottom of page, Notes, Rule 35.

Glad Sofarsogood described the importance of a SPILL KIT. Useful information IMHO.

200mg is the highest you can talk about here. I have 1 liter of it. I got it from MFS early this year.

@Jim_ MDP Let us know how your order of 200 turns out please.
I wouldn't mind having some myself.
I think I'd cut it to 100 before use, but as long long term less space.

I make about 400mls of PG/VG/Nic base at a time, so the nic concentration is just a matter of using half as much for the duration of said bottle.
I expect I will try the E-Liq in a week or so just to see if they're any good.

I just recently (Within the last month) bought the 200mg ECX NIC and just made a 12mg base. It's very flavor
neutral and not peppery at all. Has a medium throat hit with good lung feel as compared to my last batch from MFS which I though was a bit high. The color of the raw NIC solution is medium amber but mixes at 12mg crystal clear. I vaped it flavorless at 60vg/40pg/12mg with a dual coil dripper on a copper mec mod at .60ohm. It was flavorless but let the slight sweetness from the VG come through. This base will make an exceptional base for deserts and fruits and will make a nice base for a smooth mild tobacco vape. If your looking for a base with high throat hit this my friends is not it.
No disappointments here I have to give this one a big thumbs up.
